They had my support...until they started threatening writers who weren't even part of the Union...and started getting a bit too greedy. Hate on me if you will but I honestly dont care.
A lot of them (especially TV writers) make several thousand dollars A WEEK... I don't even make that in a month these days...I guess I chose the wrong profession :(
The "Power Moguls" only have to own internet search engines to gain control of the "World Wide Web". Then people will be directed or allowed access to what they want you to view. It is a reality we must address. Pay-per-view is already here.
All these great videos prove that it is the studios that need the writers and not the other way around. I have yet to see a video produced by one of the moguls!
This video says it all... these writers want to work! Please get back to the settlement table. Give these writers what they deserve! Great video! Very creative!
Okay, I'm ready to play hardball with these moguls. I'm ready to boycott any and all products produced by the conglomerates. I'm ready to boycott their advertisers. The writers and other workers are feeling the pinch, but the companies aren't. Let's make them feel it.
Please be sure to have lots of great script ideas ready to roll after the strike. We are dying out here with no work and need to work non-stop for a good while after your strike is settled. It's going to take a long time to recover from the wages that we BTL have lost. Thank you for your consideration...brother.
Just amazing this video. It shows how important is either for producers and writers working together having no differences and giving each other what they deserve.
it just goes to show that the writers don't need the production company's zillions of dollars to produce something funny and entertaining. it's the writers with the real talent, after all.

OH MY GWAAAD! worst lighting I ever saw. Save a buck, fuck it up. spend a little money and see what a union set lighting electrician can do for you. You could have something worth looking at. Don't even get me started about the sound quality. Did all the petty cash go to the craft service table? Must have been quite the spread!
Haha! Are you serious? Is something only funny if it is done professionally? Apparently content has nothing to do with humor. If you don't think the video is funny, fine. But bitching about the quality is fucking stupid! This isn't the new release at the IMAX. It's on youTube. Or did you not realize where you were when you typed this inane comment?
That being said, if we were ever to make even one dollar from this video, we'd be happy to share it with England Dan. Whether or not he shares it with John Ford Coley is entirely up to him.
what the... who's he calling? doh! *snort* [spit take] no they didn't! [falls out of chair laughing] aw, heck.~~~~~~~~ Proof that a striking writer isn't a lazy writer...
You're allowed to use music on youtube videos. Also, if these guys didn't make any money from this, there is no royalty to be had. Nice try, studio weasel.
LMBO... This is too cute!!! And yes, who is that handsome gentleman leading the strikers and singing at the end? Have I seen him act before??? HMMMM..... Sure would like to see him in more pictures.
This is so great. A good way to get the point across. Who is the african american guy leading the strikers and singing in the end? I don't recognize him? Is he an actor? Does anyone know what his name is?
I think this totally evident for everyone, but since I'm not an english native speaker, its not that evident to me. What's the name of the song, its wonderful.
This is fabulous! Makes me want to walk the line with them!! Yes, the two leads were good, but does anyone know the name of the black guy who leads the strike chant and then sings at the end? Is he a writer or an actor?
Kelleher and Zuker together again! Not since the heyday of the "Paper Dance News" and Arsenio have these two been better. Definitely UNcrapolicious for sure!
The writers' parody videos are way better than the studios. I'll have to side with the writers on this one. They've shown me that it takes "writers" to be funny on you tube. Now, if only they'd put a few writers on Quarterlife, we'd be seeing some REAL progress in the world of online content.
Thank goodness we have a place to go and watch something the writers are writing! This is GREAT! Keep at it guys/gals! we are behind you! -SAG member.
