The same exact thing happened to me i went to gamestop and the guy said no i had high hopes for this but it sucked. So i didnt buy it. So i came back yesterday and the same thing happened so i went to bestbuy and it and i enjoy it especially split screen tackle alley with friends
You can buy this game from any Best Buy or Target. I would highly discourage getting it from GameStop. As they will try their best to keep you from getting it. They have nothing good to say about it. Backbreaker does have it's short comings but it has a lot more good things to it. It's NOT Madden or NFL 2K, but it is a fun game.
