Im an OU fan and I just got done watching a few vids about the Texas-UCLA game and wow... I generally hate Texas but ive read some of the comments the UCLA fans left. Im sticking up for the South here.. First off its a rebuilding year for Texas so don't get all giddy off this win. We were hurt, all 3 of are running backs (besides D.J Monroe) had minor injuries. So we were kinda banged up. To be honest, We will make Landry make mistakes. We will pull the next one out. Against Nebraska that will be are toughest test. If we can minimize are mistakes and put are defense in good positions on the field then we will be okay this year.
I still expect us to win the south and possibly win the big 12. There's no more excuses, we have the talent to win.

Garrett, I totally agree with you. We have absolutely no leadership on the offensive side of the ball. I'm not one of those people who's going to blame GG on this loss. He played bad...yes, but I see it more as a Greg Davis loss. Someone, whether it be Malcolm Williams, or James Kirkendoll, has to step up on the offensive side of the ball and LEAD this team. There are really only 3 teams who can say they aren't having any real problems this season: Alabama, Oregon, and Ohio St., and Oregon is a bit iffy. As far as the defense, I'm not worried about them. They had a bad second half today, but I have faith Muschamp will have them ready for OU this week.
I'm going to be in Cotton Bowl next weekend and I'm going to be shouting my head off for the Horns, but I don't know what to expect. Our offense has to do better if we want to beat OU.
This was a tough one to swallow. I don't know where to start. The offense has got to get its act together. Especially the offensive line. They can't run black, they can't pass block. It's like we're playing with only guys on offense out there. Also, I think Mack needs to seriously start putting some heat on Greg Davis and Mac Mcwhorter. I don't expect an offense to be perfect, but this has been a problem all year.
Just sign another top 5 recruiting class. Other programs win with the players from Texas that Texas doesn't want. How can a coach screw up the Texas job? Texas should never be pushed around by an average team like UCLA. Your freshmen class out on the field could have made a game of it.
Zona's a solid program but nebraska destroyed them last year 33-0 in a bowl game.
Arizona is granted better this year but other then that PAC-10 is not that great. Oregon is pretty solid as well great offense, defense...eh.

From the question on who will lead adversity... for the Bruins, Rick Neuheisel and the team really did after that 0-2 start. They fought ineligibility for a few players, 2 offensive linemen out for the season, the star DE out until October, and even Kevin Prince taking hit after hit. He's been playing injured alot this year.

I don't know, man. I can't put all the blame on Garrett Gilbert (Hell, there's plenty to go around), but you gotta admit he looked pretty inept at times. He just didn't show any fire and enthusiasm; he was acting like he could just roll out of bed and get a win. But maybe a lot of what looks like GG's fault is actually Greg Davis' fault. God knows that's how it was with Vince until they finally let him loose.
It's tough for any team to win with 8 penalties and FIVE turnovers. This team is not diciplined like a Mack Brown team. I wouldn't want to be in the lockerroom when he unloads on them but I bet you see a sharper team against OU.

We were hurt, all 3 of are running backs (besides D.J Monroe) had minor injuries. So we were kinda banged up. To be honest, We will make Landry make mistakes. We will pull the next one out. Against Nebraska that will be are toughest test. If we can minimize are mistakes and put are defense in good positions on the field then we will be okay this year.
I still expect us to win the south and possibly win the big 12. There's no more excuses, we have the talent to win.

Garrett, I totally agree with you. We have absolutely no leadership on the offensive side of the ball. I'm not one of those people who's going to blame GG on this loss. He played bad...yes, but I see it more as a Greg Davis loss. Someone, whether it be Malcolm Williams, or James Kirkendoll, has to step up on the offensive side of the ball and LEAD this team. There are really only 3 teams who can say they aren't having any real problems this season: Alabama, Oregon, and Ohio St., and Oregon is a bit iffy. This season is full of teams like Texas, OU, Florida, etc. OU isn't playing great, either. But man, it would be shocking for Texas to lose 3 in a row. Looking forward to the game next week, BOOMER!

Even if you go back to last year with McCoy and Shipley, our offense struggled much more than we expected throughout the season.
As far as the defense, I'm not worried about them. They had a bad second half today, but I have faith Muschamp will have them ready for OU this week.
I'm going to be in Cotton Bowl next weekend and I'm going to be shouting my head off for the Horns, but I don't know what to expect. Our offense has to do better if we want to beat OU.

This was a tough one to swallow. I don't know where to start. The offense has got to get its act together. Especially the offensive line. They can't run black, they can't pass block. It's like we're playing with only guys on offense out there. Also, I think Mack needs to seriously start putting some heat on Greg Davis and Mac Mcwhorter. I don't expect an offense to be perfect, but this has been a problem all year.

From the question on who will lead adversity... for the Bruins, Rick Neuheisel and the team really did after that 0-2 start. They fought ineligibility for a few players, 2 offensive linemen out for the season, the star DE out until October, and even Kevin Prince taking hit after hit. He's been playing injured alot this year.

Now I understand why coach Mack Brown was so against moving to the Pac 10, Texas can't compete in the Pac 10. I don't know, man. I can't put all the blame on Garrett Gilbert (Hell, there's plenty to go around), but you gotta admit he looked pretty inept at times. He just didn't show any fire and enthusiasm; he was acting like he could just roll out of bed and get a win. But maybe a lot of what looks like GG's fault is actually Greg Davis' fault. God knows that's how it was with Vince until they finally let him loose.

I give TD credit. He is a true Longhorn fan unlike half of that bandwagon fan base. Just to let you know TD. I wasn't hating on UT just to hate. The fact is I saw early on that your team cannot run the ball, and relying on a Soph QB that is green to pass his way out of each game was not going to happen all season. Don't be hard on Gilbert. He will be good, he needs to experience his lumps. It is tough for any defense to have to play lights out when a team has to rely on the pass like UT.

@SilverStar40 did you watch the game? they got dominated!!! they let UCLA's QB run a 50 or so yarder for a TD....hes not a running QB you know. if Texas beats OU it wont matter neither of those teams will beat nebraska....i think nebraska will hang 40 on UT.

@cowboyTD Your right I've never seen texas lay down like that I keep thinking about the 08 red river game and how they just would not go away. This year I think my sooners have about a 60% chance of winning. we are very talented but and the same time very inconsistent . and holy shit i freekin hate NEB. I hope your guys can find away to beat them. lord knows nobody up north can do it. wow that was an out burst anyway good luck with all ur games except this week of corse.
