  • i saw one of these at an office sell out for like 6 bucks

  • it had no dislikes, so i had to help it

  • can I plug a phone line into it???

  • @Ipodtouchappsrule no, it runs over ethernet

  • i think it's not 7940 - look at lines buttons - much more than 2

  • wow- all that money for the same functionality a hard with Avaya?

  • You can use it at home - you can score these off ebay slightly used for about $100 give or take. They are VOIP phones, so you will need a VOIP service provider, though if you wish you can build yourself a PBX using AsteriskNOW and get a lot more functionality (that of a commercial PBX)

  • Damn old style phone

  • This is a 7960. The 7940 only has 4 buttons on the top next to the display.

  • @Cleenz the 7941 I believe has 4, the 7940G has 2. I have a 7940G in my room and a 7910G+S/W in the kitchen and im running cucme 4.0 with AA. im going to be upgrading soon. adding in 7 more phones and the fxo-m1 to my 1760 and some memory also.

  • how to install it at home pls let me know

  • can you use this as a home phone?

  • You could, but...this phone runs $400-500, so I don't recommend it.

  • @olemissmitch so if i plug it into my router, it would display my home number? (XXX-XXX-XXXX)

  • @bedaman10 you would also need a cisco call manager (if you plan to run sccp)

  • I like the functions

  • Isn't that a 7960 model?
