  • this dude is so sick...I want that tracker shirt too

  • style king...arms look long for some reason....but what a boss..something about how he does his grinds still holds today..the form is set in stone..

  • what a bad ass....i never realized how raw this dude was.....

  • Best style!

  • Losi skated tough..always respected him. then Reese skated for him. way back. Reese was the shit.

  • @Drzdog Simpson? Reese Simpson was sick dude I remmember thinking that dude was mad consistent on savanah slamma 3...lol

  • Losi invented the lien to tail, fakie ollie.

  • fuckin billy ruff with the crazy arms..let you know where he get's is speed from.. but this guy... is like a missing link to alot of things I think..I mean his name get's no credit,.. I'd watch this tape everyday before I went out to the halfpipe...he was calm with it.

  • Personally, I really liked his smith grinds. Super smooth. I was hoping to see one in this video. Oh well.

  • So what was that at 0.29

  • @MrAudity it was a front smith

  • @zac2177 ther was 1 at 29 seconds

  • Saw him skate once at Skatercross in Reseda, California when I was still a grommet (42 now...but probably still one!! ha-ha). Remember him being smooth, but that fakie 360 plant to tail tap...or whatever it was (1:05) was just damn good. That trick needs to be brought back...did he invent it?

  • I love Al Losi. Great dude, even greater skater.

  • im 15 and i love watching old skate vids. my friend always bothers me about it.

  • OMG all you guys i know were allen is today i KNOW the damb guy, hes doing good , he plays in a punkband now, and partying as i speak! lol

he retired skating. But is still doing good :D

  • forgot how smooth that guy was....sweet rock shuffles at the end...

  • so damn good!

  • those were good times. Alan ripped hard, and definitely was one of a kind as far as style and ability. Who cares about variflex/varibot politics. His skating spoke for him. I enjoyed skating with him.

  • I'll never forget his Five-O's in Rom skatepark's pool-stood right up the whole way around!Jaw-dropping,memory-seering stuff!

    Where is he now?

  • Great ride. No robot style there!

  • SO sick! He should have been more popular. I guess substance sometimes overshadowed. He was the real deal.

    Those laybacks!!!!!!!!

  • Was he a Veribot? P.M me.

  • Yep, and that rep kind of hurt him in the later 80's. Damn I really liked to watch him skate. I can still replay in my mind some of the sick locked in smith grinds he used to do. Good memories.

  • Losi is one of the greatest pool skaters of all times. That being said he is one of the most friendly skaters I have ever met.

  • ripping! on a variflex too!!!!!!Why?

  • seem to remember the variflex lance mountain pro model - maybe they became a budget outfit later?

  • Like World Industries, they sold out to the Big Biz toy makers.Shame!

Reese Simpson and John Lucero were two other non-robotic Varibots.

The robot thing was just whipped up by the less technically competant Santa Cruz team who couldn't keep up with skating's inevitable progress-just sour grapes-and the mags lapped it up!

  • BECAUSE HE RODE FOR VARIFLEX.

  • The Losi's owned Variflex...

  • losi's arm's were the shit for me... he makes them change the music... theres lot's of un sung heros like these..makes you think who did these guys look up to...cause they are the shit...fast as boneless..proper proper skateboarding..imena the first trick is a mean ass frontside grind....
