I stil have a Powerbook G4 17inch from 2003. I bought it in Late 2003 for a whopping 3 grand (I know, right?). Sadly, it's worth close to $500 today, but I still use it because it's really fast. I have it with the 1.67 GHz G4 Processor and 1GB of RAM. I upgraded to OS to 10.5.1 back in January of 2008, and still use it. It's not my main machine but when I travel and want to check up on emails at the airport or want to do some Word typing, this thing is perfect for it. Long live the Mac!

@mypassmark1 Your machine can't be from 2003 if it has 1.67 Ghz Processor. In 2003 the fastest powerbook G4 was 1 Ghz. Your Machine is a 2005 model.

I love the Powerbook g4 cause i bought one off ebay for $350! it was perfect condition, 1.5 GHZ processor, 1GB RAM, and runs OSX 10.5.2. The guy through in the box and the original receipt, which showed that the laptop was $2,899 originally.

I still have and use, everyday, the original 17", now upgraded to 2GB of memory and 250GB of HDD. Plus the two original batteries still work! Amazing that a computer this old (about 114 in human years) had wi-fi, bluetooth, giga ethernet, 800 firewire and so on.

I clearly remembered this ad hahaha. The G4 line of apple was one of the most creative ads they've made. The PowerBook G4, the iMac G4, PowerMac G4, the G4 cube (well... not really but the fact it was a CPU in a cube form made it interesting).

The G4 era made Apple show the world what computers were all about
