Why should he?
1. The so called 'solos' in the song are not THAT fancy.
2. He already plays the rhythm guitar, which is the main part of the song and is also by far the hardest of both (if it comes to Iced Earth).
3. OK, he could switch over to the lead guitar during the special parts, but I would stick with one, continous guitar, just like Schaffer.
