The best thing about the Internet is that underneath the megatons of crap true gems like this video can be found.This is a superb rendition of one of my favorite Kate songs. You are lovely and you have a beautiful voice. When I closed my eyes during the first part, you sounded just like KB. But the "whispery" version sent me shivery! I had to steal Kate's words because mine escaped me. You and Troubleclef work well together, and I will check out your other vids.

@122457 Thank you so much for this very lovely comment. It's been a long time since I've posted anything new here, and I don't know when I'll be able to get back to it. But I still love Kate's early work, and am looking forward to performing some of her songs live in a cabaret show in January. If video footage is made and isn't too painful to view, perhaps I'll begin posting (and YT collaborating) again. Troubleclef really is a wonderful guitar player, and I miss working with him :)

As with all your Kate Bush covers they are awesome. You do seem to be struggling a little in the first half of the video which sounds like it is in the same pitch as Kate's original. Thats not a criticism but more a comment on how dynamic Kate's vocal range is. thanks and I look forward to hearing other Kate bush covers. I was thinking of "Oh To Be In Love" but that also has that same weird vocal range. Oh well look forward to hearing what ever you do.

Being a vocalist myself, I know how hard it is to sing a Kate Bush song. I'm sure that anyone that has tried, has had to make the decision whether to sing it in her original octave, or one lower. Both of your versions are INCREDIBLE. I have seen her in interviews where she says that she has never liked the sound of her own voice. That wasn't her strong suit. She is a musician first. I can't help but think that if she heard you sing her creations, it would be what she wanted to sound like.

I makes me feel a little silly, since I'm also a Kate fan and a soprano. But it's nice too. And people don't say it so much when I wear my glasses. ;) By the way, you'd be surprised how much of today's youth does actually know about Kate. I know of many teen-aged Kate fans. It's not a large section of the mass public of course, but they're out there. :)

Really? That is very good to hear. Perhaps the German youth are a bit more hip than the kids over here - ha! I recorded a Kate song about 27 years ago while in college. The recording is rather rough. Maybe I will clean it up and post it here soon. My friend Kathy sang "The Man With The Child In His Eyes" (I fumbled around on guitar). I hope you and Troubleclef will continue.
