CRF that style is called "boso" style or better known as Bosozoku look it up or read wikipedia. It's just a style not a matter if they think it looks cool etc. It originated from bike groups/gangs setting themselves apart from others. In any case this caught on in the automotive world as well and people just went crazy with it. Look up bosozoku cars on google u will see some straight out of manzinger or robotech.

@sonicadx 1... a wing adds drag, but supposed to add downforce to aid in cornering, 2 a fwd car understeers, therefore a wing on the rear only makes it understeer more, 3 a wing that is 10 feet above the car is completely outside of the aerodynamics of the car, and probably adds about 100 pounds to the car.

Theres nothing rice about them. This is called "Bosozoku style". Bosozoku are originally street gangs but it alo evolved in to sub culture. The gangs styled their cars this way just be obnoxious, however some people do it just because they wnt to. Bosozoku are not to be confused with Hashiriya (street racers), however they do have some close ties.
