This was a good movie. Craig was great again but idk there was just SOMETHING missing that was there in casino royale........it was still really good though. Can't wait for Bond 23!!
Not a bad movie at all, but not great. I liked Craig's performance, which is his saving grace, as he doesn't really look like the stereotypical Bond, but the one thing I disliked is this whole Quantum organization, what happened to SPECTRE??? I hope Quantum is some sort of false name for SPECTRE, as they are a smart group, I wouldn't put it past them.:)
James Bond # 23 is set for a release around Thanksgiving/ Christmas 2011. Pre production is still in the early stages since MGM is looking fix its money problems( They are in debt big time and the last non 007 movie they made was a huge flop.) I am really looking forward to it when it does come out.
I do not understand: If James Bond has a gun silencer, how come he does not use it throughout? Same with the later James Bond pictures with Daniel Craig. In some scenes, they use the silencers, and in others, they don't. Wouldn't they always want them at their benefit?
If the future bond movies are going to be in this genre, they are going to ruin the whole franchise. No doubt. I personally dont like bond who cries and weeps over lost souls. Daniel may be good but definitely not as bond. Its time they looked for a new bond. Daniel is proving to be worst than Lazenby or Dalton. When brosnan did it, the charecter it was suave and sophisticated. Now it is just soapy feeble and girlish. What a disaster to a charecter that said ' world is not enough'.

He is way more vulnerable in these. In Casino Royale he lost his love and Quantum of Solace he is broke and want's revenge. He slowly evolves into the Bond as you may know him.
@Ahmedabdelreheem Fan appreciation is a little mixed, but I personally would highly recommend it. It's not the best Bond movie but you could certainly do a lot worse.
Just watched this film. The best way i can describe Bond, is, take and old pair of boots that used to belong to a tramp, take them to a shoe repairer, and say pollish those old boots for me, and put a new inside for me. That is how feel i about Bond, James Bond. What the hell was the story line about with this Bond film? I agree to some extent. The story line seemed extremely rushed. Casino Royale was extremely well written and flowed smoothly by way of plot development. There just seemed to be too many plot holes in Quantum of Solace.

actualy Digital is right, moore and connery both had the same actors playing Q, M and Moneypenny and the same music production and at the end of royal the woman is working for vesper because vesper has her husband hostage, M makes commentary about it. Also Owen was frontrunner for bond and that can be verified and googled and Tarantino had the idea for the bond reboot.

Secondly, what made the first movies so successful was the accuracy to their source material. The fact that they followed the Fleming style quite well, is the reason why Bond was a "phenomenon" in the 1960s. In the 1970s, Bond became silly and cheap entertainment, which is the world you came from. They became about humor, and were generally successful, but were no longer fantastic. Just new action/adventure films. Watch some of the old films. Learn a little about Bond. Stop being a little pussy.

Maybe I'm crazy but I prefer this movie than Casino Royale - more action scenes, great storyline and visual effects. Daniel Craig was fantastic. Olga Kurylenko (Camille) is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable Bond Girls plus she looked much stronger than weak Vesper in Casino Royale. Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini were great as well. Gemma Arterton looked absolutely useless.

I do not understand: If James Bond has a gun silencer, how come he does not use it throughout? Same with the later James Bond pictures with Daniel Craig. In some scenes, they use the silencers, and in others, they don't. Wouldn't they always want them at their benefit?

If the future bond movies are going to be in this genre, they are going to ruin the whole franchise. No doubt. I personally dont like bond who cries and weeps over lost souls. Daniel may be good but definitely not as bond. Its time they looked for a new bond. Daniel is proving to be worst than Lazenby or Dalton. When brosnan did it, the charecter it was suave and sophisticated. Now it is just soapy feeble and girlish. What a disaster to a charecter that said ' world is not enough'.

Craig is the only actor who did it right since Connery. All the others where terrible.
Brosnan didn't take it serious at all. He made Bond look like a child.
Dalton is a great actor but there was no James Bond over him. He was a borring character.
Moore got the Bond Charm but he was so old and slow. The fight scenes are pathetic.
Lazenby is a joke. He got no clue in how to be an actor

He is way more vulnerable in these. In Casino Royale he lost his love and Quantum of Solace he is broke and want's revenge. He slowly evolves into the Bond as you may know him.

Just watched this film. The best way i can describe Bond, is, take and old pair of boots that used to belong to a tramp, take them to a shoe repairer, and say pollish those old boots for me, and put a new inside for me. That is how feel i about Bond, James Bond. What the hell was the story line about with this Bond film? This film is nothing more than a 2 hour commercial for watches, cars, planes, boats, and so on, these companies come together and think up a way to advertise their stuff, BOND.

I loved Casino Royale for melding an engaging story with impeccable action direction.
Quantum of Solace suffers from a case of "Action for the sake of action", and it right pissed me off -- let's not forget the terrible editing.

I agree to some extent. The story line seemed extremely rushed. Casino Royale was extremely well written and flowed smoothly by way of plot development. There just seemed to be too many plot holes in Quantum of Solace.

actualy Digital is right, moore and connery both had the same actors playing Q, M and Moneypenny and the same music production and at the end of royal the woman is working for vesper because vesper has her husband hostage, M makes commentary about it. Also Owen was frontrunner for bond and that can be verified and googled and Tarantino had the idea for the bond reboot.

and I actually like the earlier bond movies better than the books by Ian Flemming, in thier own right. Connery and Moores Films were written and produced by the same people, its after the production cleaned house that were left with horrid crap other than Goldeneye, wich is not my favorite bond as they completely removed and had watered down bond music. Youll notice the bond music from the 60s and 70s removed from 80s onward except at the very last part of casino royal, too little, too late.

First off, Moneypenny and Q haven't been thrown out. They are coming back, and only used for moments of necessity. Not just so they can be there. Also, the Bond franchise has not tanked. In fact, the last two have been the most successful of the series, the first film being arguably the most highly praised Bond film since Goldfinger.
Also, Bond wasn't trying to save a married woman. Do some research. Learn some things about him. Read some books, watch some films, then you can talk about him.

Casino Royale was pretty much and apology for Die Another Day, and Craig being an apology for Brosnan. I don't Hannah Montanna is the bomb, and I have seen every James Bond movie. Also, the remark about Dalton. He is actually noted for possibly being the closest interpretation of Ian Fleming's idea. Basic knowledge to people who are Bond fans. A James Bond without Q is a lot like the James Bond in the first book, Casino Royale. Q is not a sidekick. Secondly, what made the first movies so successful was the accuracy to their source material. The fact that they followed the Fleming style quite well, is the reason why Bond was a "phenomenon" in the 1960s. In the 1970s, Bond became silly and cheap entertainment, which is the world you came from. They became about humor, and were generally successful, but were no longer fantastic. Just new action/adventure films. Watch some of the old films. Learn a little about Bond. Stop being a little pussy.

Maybe I'm crazy but I prefer this movie than Casino Royale - more action scenes, great storyline and visual effects. Daniel Craig was fantastic. Olga Kurylenko (Camille) is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable Bond Girls plus she looked much stronger than weak Vesper in Casino Royale. Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini were great as well. Gemma Arterton looked absolutely useless.

movie was alright, i agree Casino Royale was better. I dont like how Quantum had a bunch of anti-American rants; it was rather annoying and distasteful. they should have had more parts with Felix.

Plot isn't shit. Actually, it's right-on. Google Hasin'i Madagasikara. Same scenario, different "actors" in Madagascar and other countries right now. Watch the movie, Flow. Truth is stranger than fiction.
