i know about the dragon pheonix thing (in chinese, although the pheonix represents feminity, he is a male) but i'd say fai's kudan is a swan coz phoenixes are fiery red. thanks for spotting that though. i think it's a shame how these relationships are often forced into a male/female role. well, but both the dragon and pheonix are male.

It's not that I think nothing sexual ever happens in CLAMP, but rather that there are two groups of CLAMP manga: the sexual ones and the nonsexual ones. It all depends on the intended audience, really.
Chobits is with the sexual ones (although they did make a big deal about no one ever touching Chii). Same thing for Miyuki-chan in Wonderland.
Meanwhile, Cardcaptor Sakura is nonsexual, & since Tsubasa has Sakura and Syaoran in it, I'd go so far as to say Tsubasa is also nonsexual.

Ummm... excuse me. But Fai is only a character. He's not real. Stop fantasizing and start excepting reality. CLAMP created Fai as a some sort of 'cliché' of Yukito from Card Captors Sakura. And as for Kurogane is a 'cliché' of Touya, Sakura's older brother. Of course they have they're own personalities but they are a cannon couple.
They are going to end up together. Touya and Yukito are an actual couple in Card Captor Sakura (see the manga, they kiss.) And from all the sacrafices that Kurogane did for Fai, I think honnestly that they are made for one another. -_-
I believe that we are all aware that "Fai" (god forbid) indeed does not really exists in reality, but hey, a girl/guy if you will, can fantasize. With Fai, CLAMP would never make his kudan red since red is Kuro-kun's colour.
So I don't think that fact that his phoenix wasn't red is a big deal since the world (CLAMP) would never let Fai own anything that isn't blue.
It's like Sakura (CCS) owning all the pink. The world would blow up if she owned anything else.

The last scene in the manga was Sakura hugging Syaoran. That was the most intimate they were, if you don't count Sakura passing out on Syaoran after turning Clow cards into Sakura cards.

It's not that I think nothing sexual ever happens in CLAMP, but rather that there are two groups of CLAMP manga: the sexual ones and the nonsexual ones. It all depends on the intended audience, really.
Chobits is with the sexual ones (although they did make a big deal about no one ever touching Chii). Same thing for Miyuki-chan in Wonderland.
Meanwhile, Cardcaptor Sakura is nonsexual, & since Tsubasa has Sakura and Syaoran in it, I'd go so far as to say Tsubasa is also nonsexual.

Ummm... excuse me. But Fai is only a character. He's not real. Stop fantasizing and start excepting reality. CLAMP created Fai as a some sort of 'cliché' of Yukito from Card Captors Sakura. And as for Kurogane is a 'cliché' of Touya, Sakura's older brother. Of course they have they're own personalities but they are a cannon couple.
