@haruka1259 It's called 'freedom of speech'. Japanese journalists should try exercising their right to it every once in a while - but they never do. If a Japanese journalist made too strong a comment he would be denied access to press conferences and political leaders, and his employer would lose face. Apologizing is the one thing Japan finds harder to do than anything else - be it an ojji-san pushing in front of me at 7-11 or the president of Toyota.
