As it seems, according to the trading reasons or any historical fact or ... etc, Salomi was a very good good goooooooood girl. In fact she here in this film is the gooood gooood gooood goood goood goood girl. Yet she is a charming pretty actress. God knows where is real Salomi now hell or heaven and if she used to have a single one percent goodness in her heart.

Typical Hollywood Biblical movie but better than most by trying to follow Biblical account. Problem is that account of Salome is basically a few verses, so script was fleshed out to a mostly fictionalized story to match. Have seen Laughton in better roles but still he dominates but seems almost tired. Rita is always Rita and granger is striking. Thanks for this good movie!

Amazing how great their performances were and how they ahd a low budget but still managed to put in a good performance and then be authentic. No excuses these days for major flops and bad acting and not paying attention to proper detail.
