The humorously overwrought and panicky reaction these people have to the forecast of snow reminds me of my fellow North Carolinians: who ever upon hearing the rare forecast of impending doom (snow) would go pick up their children from school and then race to the grocery story and buy every loaf of bread, every piece of meat, and every can of beer... and then return home and lock themselves up desperately in the living room with their television turned to the Weather channel for 2 days!
