As barrygioportmorien mentions below, Sonny James has an English version of this song. Not understanding a word of Finnish, the tone of this version sounds different from the Sonny James version, so I'm not sure if the lyrics are similar. But I've thought this was a great piece of music and it's nice to hear this sung (even if I don't understand the words).
This is always fun to listen to. I love the original instrumental version, of course, but I think it's great, that we Finns got another weird thing we're famous of...ha haa... Thank you, dear Sir.
They said way back then that Finns are corny as they stuff lyrics almost in any instrumental... =D I have sung version of Wonderful Land somewhere....!=D
I remembered you mentioned about those corny vocal versions of instrumentals. I posted this really as a repost (not re-post) to a similar 'vocal-instrumental' posting by HighHeelWoman1975.
I think Sir is referring to the version of "Mandshurian Twist" by The Mustangs and Reijo Taipale as a solo singer... You'll find it in my latest uploads... :D
My humble opinion is that the flute and drums are more typically "Apache" ( as a populace) then a couple of hauntin' guitars.we are just prejudiced by what we hearded before.
WOW! This is REALLY nice....her beautiful voice along with the "haunting" qualities of the KILLER guitars and timpani drum (I believe) along with the flute are a real treat to the senses! Thank you Basil!
I never heard this great Version.
I`m on my knees.
Thank you so much Sir Basil
