  • I heard if you watch the movie The Wall and play the album The Wall at the right time it syncs perfectly. Pink floyd has denied doing this on purpose and have only said they found the rumors "amusing"

  • Google can suck balls putting ads on videos here in YouTube

  • @revoltijo11 I agree with your opinion of ads. Check out Ad block plus. Since I downloaded it I never see a stupid ad on youtube or anywhere while surfing. I am not a salesman for this download just damn grateful that I found it. All the best

  • what a load of bollocks...!!!!

  • hate adversitements in youtube videos

    really HATE

  • I love it and all the other Pink Syncs so few people have heard about. Buy it on ebay cheap and stop trying to press play on the vhs and cd at the same time, pain in the ass.

  • i dont care what any 1 says, its fucking freaky as hell, and it gives me goose bumps every time i watch it. the first time i saw it i was triping on 4 hits of purple gell tabs in a movie theator that was built in the earley 1900 , its called (the indiana theator) and its in Terre Haute indiana. it just added 2 the freakeynesssssssssssssssss

  • Gay

  • It doesn't .One clue is that the movie and the record are different lengths.

  • @eldorado61guy In this video he mentions that side 1 of Dark Side (vinyl album) is the same length of the black & white portion (side 1) of the Movie.

  • I used to not believe it for a second, then I eventually got talked into giving it a shot. After trying several times to get everything synched up properly, it finally worked, and there are just too many "coincidences" for them to be coincidences. You can believe what you want, but nobody is ever going to convince me that the music doesn't sync up perfectly with what is going on in the film.

  • @WangFish420 Keep this in mind, though... "Us and Them" was written and worked on before they wrote any of "Dark Side of the Moon".. they even performed a live rendition of it on "Pink Floyd in Pompeii"... so how did that song end up fitting in with the Wizard of Oz Synch?

  • Has anyone tried Ben-Hur and The Wall?

  • @MultiPhisher theres a version of the wall and alice in wonderland on youtube... searche for pink floyd alice

  • NICK MASON- I'll tell you who would have time to work on this! Pink Floyd would thats who! You guys were already working on soundtracks before so it's not that much of a big deal. Oh yea, I also figured out the Wish You Were Here part too.

  • haha he is stoned.

  • I started to watch the film with the album and Dorothy jumped out of my TV and started trashing my living room. So I turned it off and went outside to sit on a stump and drink a beer.

  • @TheSdlabs are youserious?

  • CHECK OUT MY VIDEO of Jimmy by Tool in sync with the end of David Lynchs Eraserhead

  • I've discovered a better scene to start the album from but can't upload it. Anyone interested, let me know.

  • Try watching "The Wall" while listening to The Wall.

    No, wait.....don't.

  • i've watched it numerous times and it matches up. it's like pink floyd is the rhythm of life or something. seriously, lol. listen to dark side while driving and notice how everything moves in time or lyrics match up. it's crazy. i don't think they intentionally did it. It's just one of those things.

  • Ben Herr and The Wall...hmmm...now i'm going to try that.

  • @BlowoutBob Ben-hur

  • There is no more "synronicity" with this anymore than any other album and movie. You REALLY have to want it.

  • randy newman+porn=why didnt i think of this sooner?

  • Am I the only one who thinks Nick Mason totally looks like the lion from the movie??

    Now that's a scary similarity.

  • benn hurr and the wall it is.

  • type o negetive's bloody kisses and nosferatu. killer!! i think its bloody kisses. find it and buy it, its awesome

  • @cpo75 it has some slow deep and hard as well.

  • listening to dark side of the moon is better stoned and in the dark then anything else

  • Well to me, it's cool that Money plays when the color starts because a lot of ppl think the book was written to be a political statement about... money. Yellow brick road = gold standard. Silver slippers = Silverites. The Emerald City was just an illusion; sort of like the value of a green bill compared to gold or silver. It's also interesting that as they're skipping down the road to the city and it shows their backs, it says "see you on the dark side of the moon," which is also an illusion.

  • "money = colour" metaphor? Pretty desperate attempt to find a connection.

  • oh, i heard that if you play the wall movie soundtrack cd to the movie the wall it sounds CREEEEEEEEEPY.

  • I'm gonna watch Ben-Hur and listen to The Wall now.

  • fantasia////// phish 2 cd's live from hampton disc opening with bathtub gin.piper...farmhouse (get jiggy with it) ends with cavern......2 disc...wilson opens..nicu ends it......in no way could have phish planned this...start the

  • start when the curtain begins to open...again it is the hamton comes alive 99 2 different seperate sets from night...

it will amaze you..i have shown it to people sober.....the crowd cheers for the fairies...farmhouse and mickey...so many moments it will blow you away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....story of creation to harry hood .....a rainbow open up on divided sky....just enjoy

  • My girlfriend once watched John Carpenter's Halloween with Darkside of the moon and it really worked

  • biggest reunion in music? i think the biggest reunions would be pink floyd, led zeppelin, and guns n roses coming back together (impossible for all of them, especially with GNR since Hudson and Axl hate each other now)

  • @TasteForDisaster wouldnt that be especially since Bonham, Wright & Barratt are dead? Would say GNR would be the most likely reunion!

  • @jimmydicks well that's kind of an obvious thing i didn't think i had to state it. they were all great, but as long as Robert plant and jimmy page would perform together, i'd be satisfied. what i said is what i meant, slash and axl hate each other so much now, that there are bigger chances of those artists rising from the dead.

  • Hahahaha whyyyy???????

  • @ everyone! I'm so glad that there are more ppl out there who share my general dislike for Nickleback!!

  • @lifeswab LOL how about the Wall and the Wall. Holy shit now that's synced.

  • That was the most ......weak reaction I've heard. The drummer (Nick Mason) finally comes in completely blitzed around 1:09. He said basically, that's an amazing coincidence.

  • NICKLEBACK SUCKS BALLS

  • I don't think I could stomach sitting through Nickelbag's album OR Battlefield Earth...let alone both of them at the same time.

  • It's no coincidence... They kept doing it. It's genius.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason with (1981) Clash of The Titans

Song #6 is titled "Yet Another Movie"

Start the album midway through the movie, Imediatley after Persius blows the horn to summon the Ferryman.

  • Pink floyd is such an outthere band the universe just follows there albums

  • Try listening to Nickelback's first album while watching Battlefield Earth. Let me know what you think.

  • @caesar7277 No I might just have to kill myself first

  • @satanwilleatyursoul I saw Nickleback and stopped reading the comment

    lol

Nickleback should never be mentioned on a Pink Floyd video

  • Wow. They didn't even stay on topic. "So here's this urban legend... but guess what? Floyd's trying to get together and tour again! No official announcement yet, but hey!!"

  • @SiliconSynthony Hell ya

  • pink floyd is also perfelctly synced with....pink floyd

  • @TheBigxDaddy hey man.. i dont get it but i dig it

  • @TheBigxDaddy HOLY SHIT NO WAY LOL very true though

  • @TheBigxDaddy no their not.thats a myth!!

  • The albums before and right after The Dark Side of the Moon were actually done for movie scores. I can see Waters venturing off on his own to set this album up to The Wizard of Oz for spontaneity. The Two masterpieces set together actually complement each other. Another fact, Pink Floyd went back into the studio to redo Dark Side as, qualitively speaking, they got blown away by the engineering of Supertramp and ELO during that time.

  • It's really a shame that reunion never happened in 09. it's an even bigger shame that maybe the most talented minds in rock n roll had to part ways in such a childish way. saddens me to think of how much more great music might have come from that collaboration. their performance at live 8 was incredible and made it clear that they still would have functioned just as well as a group.

they should consider doing a tour in honor of Rick Wright.

  • Dark Side of the Moon album 1973. Originally titled "Eclipse," ...

  • The album the wall germinated during the band's 1977. .Ben Hur remake was made in 2010 in this Video Pink Floyd comment on the urban legend of Watching 'The Wizard of Oz @ 1:38 seconds what dose the drummer for pink Floyd say??

if so how dose this Video Ben Hur 2010 fit to Run Like Hell form 1977 As jimmy page said they had seen in to he Futcher for the most part of there music

  • Watch my pink Floyd run like hell Ben Hur and get a mind blower be cause that movie is from 2010 and the drummer in this Pink Floyd comment on the urban legend of Watching 'The Wizard of Oz' said my be BEN Hur and the wall watch what he said at meant to say 1:38 seconds

  • Watch my pink Floyd run like hell Ben Hur and get a mind blower be cause that movie is from 2010 and the drummer in this Pink Floyd comment on the urban legend of Watching 'The Wizard of Oz' said my be BEN Hur and the wall watch what he said at 2:11 seconds

  • Watch my pink Floyd run like hell Ben Hur and get a mind blower be cause that movie is from 2010

  • If u listened to the album and REALLy understood the concept, then u realize that Wizard of Oz and DSOTM have nothing in common.

  • Proof that DSOTM was sent to us from the gods and not man.

  • yeahhhhhh, lets ask a drunk nick mason, he'll know! after all, he was the real creative force behind dsotm.

  • Its not even a coincidence, there's a few random fucking things, quite far-fetched in all honesty, really nothing special at all.

  • @odiumhumanigeneri616 ok then what did the drummer for Floyd say at 1:38 seconds then go to my page and watch my Pink Floyd Run like Hell Ben Hur

  • @odiumhumanigeneri616 ok then what did the drummer for Floyd say at 1:38 seconds then go to my page and watch my Pink Floyd Run like Hell Ben Hur he says my be Ben Hur and the wall

  • It's probably just a coincidence, but it's not that unlikely that they did on purpose. If you play one of their songs backwards (I think Shine On You Crazy Diamond) it says "Congratulations, you've found the hidden message, send your answer to Old Pink, care of The Funny Farm"

  • @Bouds2 It's Empty Spaces.

I also wouldn't be extremely surprised if it was intentional because they synced Echoes with 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Either way, it's pretty creative to do it intentionally, and a pretty cool coincidence if it's accidental. So it's a win/win.

  • @XvPapaSmurfvX yeah my be they had seen things in the further way do i say this well what year did pink Floyd the wall come out and also what did the drummer for Floyd say at 1:38 second then go to my page and watch Pink Floyd run Like Hell Ben Hur that came out in 2010

  • God, Dave Gilmour was one incredibly handsome bloke

  • You know, someone smoking dope, listening to DSOTM and watching telly, said "wow" and one of the dumbest legends ever was born.

  • @MissLondon84 I disagree, there's dumber legends out there, and Pink Floyd has a history of incorporating video into their music. Could it be so strange that they were inspired by the story of the Wizard of Oz and wrote an album on that theme, if you go that far why not incorporate the movie into the flow of the album? They won't admit to it because it almost undermines their genius writing and makes it seem like they may have copied straight from the movie. That's my take, take it how you want.

  • @skweekey01 I'm afraid my assessment remains my belief.

  • I hear it works really well when you're tripping

  • @sagewisdom09 You can listen to Justine Bieber and watch Jersey Shore, and it probably works well when you're tripping. Hint: It's the drugs.

  • @Wintermutate

The drugs only release what your mind already had contained. So one could ask the question, was the album so successful because of the subconscious synchronicity it had with a movie that I'm sure 99% of it's listeners had seen while they were children, of which they had fond memories?

  • Yadda. Yadda. Yadda. NEXT, please.

  • Alice in Wondeland + The Wall = Whoa

  • @bearwithgun14 indeed it does

  • dude, these are hilarious!! download this in downloadmusic .im

  • the fact that its coincidental makes it even more amazing if you ask me

  • man...sorry you died.

rob hasn't posted my comment. It's called the first amendment, judicial slowdown douchebags.intellectual property law~how quaint. how much did my taxes go to this party that i wasn't invited to? did you pay for this crap? it really stinks. go fuck yourself. Age group is Gen X. Now did young people realize that MY taxpayer money went to their cheap lobster mold? Richard Wright was in pink floyd. any others are meaningless. Engorge!

  • coincidence is an excuse for people that are just idiots or that ran out of ideas for a real reason ;) seeing the film with DSotM, it's freakingly cohering and even some parts do literally point out each other (eg lyric of time "waiting for someone or smth to show you the way", and Dorothy looking at the forecaster's sign) so maybe they just choose to not tell you they did but this ain't no coincidence to say the least.. and it's great for trippin x)

  • I think we can all agree that this is due to Illumanati

  • that will work with almost any movie

  • @sydfloydpink No it really wouldn't. I watched it and timing s perfect for everything.

  • @FliesEye alice in wonderland right after she drinks the potion

  • @sydfloydpink The thing is, they don't have to find a certain specific part where it fits. Everything fits with everything. it's not like "Oh start it here and it kinda matches the movements" for the length of Dark side of the moon, it all fits perfectly with the wizardof oz. I watched the thing from the start to 42 minutes and the timing and music playing on the scenes were so perfect it seemed unreal.

  • @FliesEye OZ ONLY WORKS AT THE START OF THE THIRD LION ROAR

  • @sydfloydpink Yeah duh, that's the beggining of the film >.>

  • @FliesEye home dog, dark side 45min the oz 2 hours they dont match up as well ,point is it could work with all most any movie tv show and other group nick even said it, straight form the horses mouth did you really think that the floyd sat down to a cup of tea and planed that, not a chance , and if they did mean it, being the true artist s that they are it would of matched to the point of blowing your mind not some silly little thing hear and there ,hope this helps mate cheers !!

  • If you ask for a raise it's no surprise that they're giving MONEY away. Google "money as debt". Nice floating pyramid (over the rainbow) on the album cover. Pay no attention to the Wizard of US. Google Hugh Rockoff. Put down the poppies and WAKE UP. Better get some silver slippers before you can't afford them lol. Home, home again...

  • @benjamindees

*If you ask for a raise it's no surprise that they're giving NONE away

  • Did he just suggest another movie/song combination

  • @totallyhenley i said oh great now thousands of people are going to try it

  • the first few times i heard "time" when i was younger i remember being annoyed by the ringing of the clocks..i think i even used to sometimes skip it.. seeing it sync up with the first sight of the witch on the bicycle riding down the road suddenly it all made sense. i really believe Pink Floyd scored the movie.. after all a genius concept coming from a genius band doesn't seem so far-fetched to me.

  • @jordanhackney but Mason says here that it is just a coincidence so how CAN you think they wrote it as a score? They would hid that fact for some obscure reason?

  • There are coincidences but no proof of something mystical. But even then, it's fucking awesome with weed!

  • I don't like this guys voice

  • I saw a short clip, Pink Oz, that nails it more than any other.

  • it's not a coincidence. He never said they didn't do it he just said who would spend that much time doing it. Possibly to put off track

  • i wanna try it so bad right now lol. it would be fun

  • LIES

  • masons right like wtf.. these are just really dumb coincidences

  • In my opinion, the album The Wall along with the Disney Pixar movie Wall-e syncs up better. I think it is still on Youtube, although it may have been removed (its called Another Brick in the Wall-e)

  • @MrLigit yeah it was removed damn

  • ""maybe Ben Hur and the Wall would work." IDEAS ANYONE?!"

That is what I thought of too.

What hardly ever gets brought up, is that having done the soundtrack for "More" ,

the group had also "just" completed the soundtrack for another movie, the album, "Obscured by Clouds", when they recorded DSOTM, so without a doubt they were technically set up to do it, and had the experience to do it. I think they deny it for legal reasons.

I am going to try "2001" with "Echoes" later today.

  • Ok I know that this is going to sound crazy, but someone told me that the wrestler Mick Mc Manus co-wrote dark side of the moon.

Apparently Mick also wrote a lot of stuff for Hawkwind and had a big part in Gary Glitter's career.

  • "maybe Ben Hur and the Wall would work." IDEAS ANYONE?!

  • He's obviously high...

  • Would've been a great reunion if it happened. R.I.P. Rick <3

  • Similar emotion types with similar amount of expression of each one expressed by the song and on film simultaneously. I think I understand how this happens. We have such a similar ongoing pattern in our mental thoughts like a minotaur in a labyrinth but we’re still half beast. As long as man is still half beast and not pure we will be stressful because we are experiencing what seems like the same things over and over and guess what… we are! That's what is going on with this.

  • @AnEyeOfTheOpenMind I'd be happy to elaborate or reword this for anybody btw. I could word this a couple different ways saying the same thing. Another way showing how restricted we currently are as a consciousness... our language. Those who are bi-lingual may understand what I mean by that last comment if they have the guts to question anything. Remember kids... "no guts, no glory!" ^.^

    Love and Light!

  • Who knows, maybe Pink Floyd was working for the CIA and there's a secret message!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know where you can actual find a video on here synced up to the music of Dark side of the woon and wizard of Oz cause seriously i'm dying to see it! o_o

  • @rachelbalkwill google dark side of the rainbow

  • Yeah I think its just coincidence. But then when Im watching it im like, the universe is speaking to me!

  • Ah I love Pink Floyd, he's such an awesome guy.

  • @edctgbujm123 Pink Floyd is not a guy...

  • @edctgbujm123 sorry but your dumb

  • @Diaz126025 idk but i think they were just making fun of how the interviewer got one member and claims that it's the entire band. a synechdoche of pink floyd, not the complete band (which I know is impossible)

  • Have you seen this new awsome Pink Floyd Wish you were her cover?

    If not..

    copy and paste this: youtube.com/watch?v=SKBsyKsqDHQ

and no this isn't spam.. just simply helping my talented friend ;)

  • WELL ILL BE DAMMED,...i did find it @!!! IT WORKED@!!!

  • bummer, my ex took everything, my album and the wizard of oz, no shit... didnt know i wish, oh i wish, i guess i will go click my flip flops together and see what happens....

    nope didnt work....

  • He just wanted to go back home and jump, one more time, on his delicious Ferrarri GTO.

  • What ever is the real reason this album should be put in a underground vault to be preserved incase of nuecleuar holocost so aliens can listen an understan what life really is about.

  • yeah, like nick mason would know he is just the drummer. why didn't they ask someone that had a bigger input in making the album, like i don't know maybe ROGER WATERS. The movie and DSOTM do sync up, I've tried it. At the beginning of every song a new scene starts. And there are way more coincidences that happen than are mentioned in this clip.

  • @Fenway3881 Just the drummer? You mean the guy whose job it is to keep time? You think that wouldn't be important in syncing to a film? Jesus, think it through!!!

  • @Fenway3881 Wanna buy a horse?

  • @Fenway3881 - Want to buy a bridge?

  • the illuminati.... which means the submission to the spirit world which means.......

    (john todd....archive.org) ssshhhhhhhhh!

  • Fucking adverts on youtube.

EVERYONE, do us ALL a favour and refuse to watch these videos!

    ...

Give youtube back to the people and not to the capitalist pigs.

  • @ddruff It's how people make money off YouTube.

Some people rely on Google to send them money for placing advertisements on their content.

I'm so sick of people getting upset about advertisements.

It's free to look at an advertisement.

Would you rather them make you pay .99 cents to watch a video?

I seen how much money it even costs to run YouTube, there wouldn't even be a YouTube if they didn't make money from it.

    So stop bitching.

  • @Errxx it's free, yes, but none the less irritating.

    youtube for the people!

.....and don't worry, youtube are doing just fine financially.

i am not "bitching" so pull your head back in E

  • @ddruff You don't understand.

A lot of people would be out of money if adsense wasn't available.

Think of all the people who advertise, they rely on those ads to bring them customers.

All those people who place ads, they rely on adsense for some of their sites earnings.

You don't understand. YouTube NEEDS to make money to run.

"In the three months from June 2006 through August 2006, the company was spending about $1 million each month on hosting costs alone"

  • @ddruff They may be making profit now, but that means they can offer ad programs and pay people for their work.

So, how bout we go to this....

YouTube creates a membership program, where you have to pay 20$ a month to use YouTube.

    Sounds better, right?

  • @Errxx yeah that's right.

when i said keep youtube free i meant that it should cost$20....well done.

  • @ddruff No, that's fucking stupid.

Why would it go from free to 20$ a month?

That makes no sense to what you were bitching about in the first place.

  • @Errxx well done errxx, you are showing a firm grasp on the concept of sarcasm.

It was you who said it should cost $20...not me.

im all for some banners and what not and links to itunes so peole can buy the music but am against having adverts rammed down my throat.

Dont bother replying, im bored of this now.

  • @ddruff - Okay, where do they send the bill. You are suggesting you'll pay for it, right?

  • @ozmedia nope. if facebook, hotmail, skype, wiki and google can survive without ramming adverts down our throats then im sure youtube can, and should.

didn't google actually buy youtube a while back?? I find it hard to think they are lacking in any way financially.

  • @ddruff - Google has paid URL placement services, Facebook pages do have ads, Hotmail has plenty of advertising, Wiki is a non profit service that rellies on donations (look at the top of the page where it says how they have received over half a million donations averaging $22 each), Skype relies on their pay for use services. They all charge or have ads on their pages. YouTube offers heaps of storage and serves millions of MB each day, someone has to pay for it. NOBODY offers a free service.

  • Why the hell did someone watch the wizard of oz and listen to Darkside of The Moon?

  • The mind is wired to look for similarities between seemingly different items.

  • @screamingpigeon1 hmm out of all the comments your's is very different

  • Ben Hur...The Wall...OH CRAP

  • Back when I had more time on my hands, I used to synch other videos up with DSOTM. From my findings, both The NeverEnding Story and The Lion King synch up with it, NeverEnding Story especially. To synch them up, you have to play the CD AS SOON as the studio logo begins to fade out (for The Lion King, it's the blue castle, for NeverEnding Story, it's the WB logo still.) I watched both movies on original VHS.

  • If you notice, he says people have too much time on their hands, but doesn't deny it.

  • Try the same thing but with Floyd's last album "The Division Bell".. At the third roar of the lion you play it..

  • @miguero really?! how so? what are the similarities?

  • @miguero Yeah, but then you have to listen to "The Division Bell".

  • I wonder how many people tried Ben Hur and The Wall?

  • There's no way that Pink Floyd wrote an album trying to synch it to an old movie. This is just an interesting coincidence discovered by serious stoners who had nothing better to do than sit around and watch the movie with DSOTM playing..

  • ben hur ..done that!!!

  • how funny that they ask nick mason (not that hes not great) but come on, if it was anyone who planned this out it was clearly roger waters. personally i think its too wierd to be coinsidence. then again theres sum bitch who won the lottery like 4 times, so anythings possibly a coinsidence. either way its dope

  • I watched the 2 together. This is no urban myth. If this is a coincidence then its very eerie. The scene changes matches the song transitions and the music captures the mood and feel of moments in scenes. Even the lyrics seem relevant. Search it on "Google Video" and you'll see. Either Pink Floyd used the movie as inspiration and synched their music with the movie or its one of the coolest coincidences that I've ever seen.

  • fucking clip this is a plain advertisement! what will be the fate of youtube music lovers if this kind of fucking clip is always here...we will definitely avoid this kind of stuff!!!

  • Dark side has its own story to tell, and it has nothing to do with WOZ. We used to listen to jams while watching TV all of the time and it has a way of syncing in entertaining ways.

  • its just the synchronicity... seriously, some people.

  • I think its just coincidental but it's really cool how it worked out.

  • @goindownthe1road Just GIANT bullshit.who would want to do that anyfuckingway ? Unless they didn't had a life.My crazy nextdoor neighbour set Sgt Pepper on repeat and watched Dr. Strangelove..claimed to see 2001 coincedences.During "Fixing A Hole",the bomb went off...Lucy In The Sky...Airplane sequences, etc, etc, etc.Big fucking deal..and...BORING !

  • Ben-Hur and The Wall? Challenge accepted!
