  • my fave area in the game

  • Grizzly Hills seems to be the more inland northern regions in the world, such as Canada, Northern Midwest USA (Minnesota and UP Michigan), Alaska, Scottish Highlands, and possibly the Finno-Russian forests. Because the region seems to focus on a battle between the Horde and Alliance utilizing the natural resources, I would guess Blizzard's main inspiration comes from the European settlements in North America.

  • this was my favorite zone. and had such amazing music!

  • I only can imagine Norway for this land, al those vikings in the coast :3

  • Imo, Howling Fijords is obviously inspired by scandinavian countries with the inhabitant Vrykul as the Viking tribes. Grizzly Hill, with the salmon rivers, the Bald Eagles, the giant pine trees, is modled after pre-colonial North America. And I recognize Iceland's geothermy and Russia's frozen steppe in the Borean Toundra.

  • scotland is the greatest country of this damn world the higlands the see everything

  • @kackboonkiller I like GREEEEEECE! GREEKS FUCK THE WORLD!

  • @vvbn7890 If you mean like having to pay off your own debts, then yes. greece at least fucks europe.

  • @vvbn7890 Aw, that's nasty. You're nasty.

  • Grizzly and howling doesn't not look like Denmark at all. trust me, i live there.

But Howling Fjord looks alot like some part of Norway. And again trust me, i live there too.. xD

  • north america. or alaska..

    its so amazing :D

  • Id say that Howling and Grizzly could be both Norway AND some parts of Sweden, like Dalarna and upwards. Some in Finland too (?) Just talking, the music is great anyway!

  • This music rly NISE, TOTEMS OF THE GRIZZELMAW FTW

  • This was definitely a good place to quest when you get sick and tired of fighting a large number of scourge...

  • I have a feeling that Grizzly hills are based on the North Europian forests.

I live in Sweden myself, and It feels kind of familiar :)

  • I would say the zones are equally nice, although Howling fjord has a bit more nordic, scandinavian & viking type of feeling to it. While Grizzly hills reminds me of north america & lumberjacks.

  • english please...

  • i'm sorry that you're pedantic. does it suck balls? does it suck that you can't communicate with others who don't share your knack for being a literary queer?

too bad that cuts you off from everyone above iq 130.

  • Sorry mate, but I still don't understand how I've upset you this much?

I thought we disscused what kind of natural enviroment this WoW zone felt like...

  • you really hurt my feelings when you said english please. my father was killed by an english please.

  • i think howling fjord feels like iceland.

  • "YELLOW STONE is a valcano and will blow in 2012 ! "

No.....just no..and dont make me call the grammar police :(

  • I love Grizzly Hills. Reminds me of Yellowstone a lot.

  • Have you even been there before? I don't care if it's a volcano that has a chance of blowing up between now and the next 600,00 years. It's one of the most beautiful, peaceful and wild places I've ever been to my entire life.

  • @HewieAlbino You know theres a 1/10000000000000000000000000000 chance that it will happen

  • No, it won't.

  • @nguyenlong2 noob lol

  • One of the best tracks in WotLK :)

  • Grizzly Hills scenery looks like Bob Ross paintings lots of happy trees in it.

  • @Gambaso bob ross FTW!

  • thats the beste music.. it's so beautiful!

  • Grizzly Hills is more Yellowstone Park kinda feeling than Scotland, but Howling Fjord = Scotland all over it. <3

  • Actually, HF is norwegian with an irish mix. Almost fully irish because the instrument on HF are the Uilleann Pipes, a fully Irish instrument.

  • It's not norwegian, just scandinavian.

  • Howling Fjord feels more like Norway for me, but one can make the arguement that it resembles Scotland

  • Best wow music ever ^^

  • love it^^

  • What's the themes called which is played at Camp Oneqwah and Dun Argol?

Outstanding music, love all themes in Northrend, they're just undescribeable...

  • i dnt understand it on every game the newe expansion pack has something to do with scorland or snowy peaks and stuff

  • because scotland's higlands are a damn amazing place

  • hehe gd point :)

  • Well the thing about WoW is the expansion w/ the lich king and arthas, it was sorta given that it had to be about traveling in snow peaks. Lore is an awesome way to learn about the game, and frankly, it's an awesome story.

  • Anyone have the mp3 of this?? I LOVE IT!

  • Try youtube converter ..

  • Yea! Thats a piece of a cake.

  • You know what, i dont know y but, i prefer the classic WoW ^_^

  • Cool tunes. Thanks for posting.

  • Its awesome !

Too bad that we cannot appreciate it enough becoz the q are just too easy and quick finished.

  • I like to look at these videos and look back at the questing and leveling i did in these particular zones, very impressive.

  • it almost looks like stonetalon mountains in some pics

funny i never thought that when actually doing the zone

  • It's like Stonetalon before it got goblin'd.

  • well its clear what are you into :)

  • epic feelings... mmm love this game.

  • dalaran is the best

  • This place so reminds me of montana.^^ Always nice going through this area.

  • reminds me of Tahoe, california

  • Same. Exept the wierd buildings and wood walls xD

  • Me too! Minus the wolf men, of course :)

  • Awesome as "Summoning" =)) Thanks for add

  • One instrument and a background ambience? Wow, Blizzard.

    Good music, none the less.

  • With every AddOn, WoW gets more detail in landscaping. Time to rescape some regions of the original WoW at least a bit.

  • Grizzly HIlls ftw, love how it looks and its just awesome

  • Howling=Norway, Grizzly= North America or Alaska :D

  • I agree. Grizzly sounds more American then Howling. I heard another song from this place it sound north american.

  • @nintendo556 Howling = Ireland or Scotland Grizzly = Sweden or Denmark :)

  • @MrRsMadsJsh Grizzly does'nt look like sweden at all xD

  • @nintendo556 I think one of them is more scottish :/

  • @nintendo556 i see alaska/canada in grizzly, but also finland in summer.

  • @nintendo556 Alaska, lol.

  • @nintendo556

No, fjord is the swedish name for archipelago or a bay, howling is nordic.

  • @K4inan i thought it was norweighan?

  • Perdy

  • this sound like celtic

  • no grizzly hills and howling fjord are two different regions, i like all the WotLK music, the nordic music matches very good

  • If you mean areas, no. If you mean the music, no. ^^ They are not the same. Listen closely and you'll hear.

  • nice music
