  • It worked for me on my L675D-S7106, first time! I found the horseshoe, u shape circuit thing labeled J1 and used memory holder for ground and shorted the u part. Thanks so very much for your and everybodies help.

  • Thank you so much, it worked.

  • your video helped me do it. Thanks!

  • anyone know how to do this on satellite l550d?

  • It worked for me on my A215-S4717. Follow directions. My T U Jumper was under the memory, under the self-adhesive film. I cleaned a little the U part of the jumper because it was covered from the factory by clear coat and the jumping wire was not coming in contact with the U area.

I run into this problem after I updated my BIOS with software from Toshiba's support website.

This works. Thank you very much for the video. Great Job!

  • Works like a champ was looking in the right corner instead of the left just did this to my sisters A135 Thanks again liked and subbed for the help.

  • where is the ground located?

  • I click on the replay button over and over again because I can't hardly understand where did you put the other end of the wire. As you said, put the one end on the letter U and then where should I put the other end? thanks a lot!

  • Dude, Just followed your instructions. GREAT VID. Worked like a champ. Now I know who to call next time I have a PC problem. Whatever you charge for phone support, it's worth it. THANK YOU!

I can send you a photo of the memory area. The unit I am trying to remove the bios password from is a Toshiba A135-S4487.

  • Great video. This problem was a big headache. Your instructions are very clear. I was able to solve the problem. I highly recommend this video. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the video--it worked. I stared at it about 10 minutes longer than I should have though because I was literally looking for a white "T" and "U" on my board whereas I just have the "JOPEN" ... Explaining that the "T" and "U" are the shapes of the actual metallic circuit in the description and not a label might be helpful. Also I'm not sure everyone understands that the metal clips holding the memory are what you used to short it since you can't see that in the video. But thanks again!

  • Honestly did work. Thanks

  • thanks a lot bro...it worked 1000% on my laptop

  • @vicky1718

No. This process will not work on a hard drive that has a user or master password set. If you forgot the password the best option for you is to buy another hard drive.

  • i just tried this on my a135, and now when i turn it on, nothing happens the screen doesnt even come on. any insight?

  • @moviewatcher7249

Check voltage on your power adapter first and see if that

's the problem. If not you might have damaged the board.

FYI.. I don't think you damaged the motherboard If you shorted out the correct jumper you would not have any damage to your motherboard.

  • @indemmand

Im sure im getting power as my charging light comes on when i plug it in. However when i push the power button i hear the fan turn on and the dvd drive click, but the screen doesnt even light up it stays black. Already tried plugging in an external moniter and nothing.

  • @moviewatcher7249

Sorry to hear that but it sounds like a motherboard issue. Maybe one of your memory sticks is bad try turning your laptop on with only one,. Hope that helps.

    Regards

  • @indemmand

that worked. I havnt had issues with the ram before though, Does this mean its bad?

  • @moviewatcher7249

It sounds that way. I would replace the bad memory since its so cheap now.

  • Just wanted to thank you!!!! great video

  • works perfectly ... you're the man ... MEGABRAVO ;)

  • It took my many hours longer than it should have. Why?

In the video you DO NOT explain where to put the "GROUND END" of the wire. Your hand was blocking the view, I did further research and someone on another site said "The ground is the round post between the mother board and the case. Also you do not explain the "T" and "U". I was looking for the LETTERS "T" and "U" JOPEN1 with a white silkscreen square. Inside the square you will see what looks like the letter T over a U. Thanks!!

  • I can't believe after owning the laptop for about 4 years the problem now shows up on my wife's laptop. Looks like Toshiba had a problem with the early bios. Followed your steps and it worked like a charm.

  • @PINKFLOYD57

It sounds like you have a hard drive password as well. You need to find a utility that will remove it or change the hard drive with a new one.
