hola soy colombiano el video esta bien ami toshiba le pasa lo mismo solo que no se que cable utilizar para hacer el trabajo y en el video no se sabe donde coloca el cable a yudemen si
It worked for me on my L675D-S7106, first time! I found the horseshoe, u shape circuit thing labeled J1 and used memory holder for ground and shorted the u part. Thanks so very much for your and everybodies help.
It worked for me on my A215-S4717. Follow directions. My T U Jumper was under the memory, under the self-adhesive film. I cleaned a little the U part of the jumper because it was covered from the factory by clear coat and the jumping wire was not coming in contact with the U area.
I run into this problem after I updated my BIOS with software from Toshiba's support website.
This works. Thank you very much for the video. Great Job!
I click on the replay button over and over again because I can't hardly understand where did you put the other end of the wire. As you said, put the one end on the letter U and then where should I put the other end? thanks a lot!
Dude, Just followed your instructions. GREAT VID. Worked like a champ. Now I know who to call next time I have a PC problem. Whatever you charge for phone support, it's worth it. THANK YOU!
Hello, does someone know how to remove the password on a Toshiba Satellite U205 model? I have taken the computer apart but can't find any jumpers. It has the buggy bios where it suddenly starts asking for a password even though I never set one up.
I followed the Toshiba Satellite A135 Bios Password Removal video, but did not find either the U or the T jumper pins marked in the area that the video shows and the memory area in the video appears to be different than the model I have. I can send you a photo of the memory area. The unit I am trying to remove the bios password from is a Toshiba A135-S4487.
Can you please show me how to do that with the A105-S2141 laptop? There is no jumpers under the memory module on this model Toshiba. Thank you. Have a nice day! :D

A local repair shop wanted to charge me $400.00 to fix this. Unfortunately I'm unemployed right now and I couldn't afford it. My wife found this video and it worked as a charm on the third try (due to me using the wrong cable the first two). Really, really, really, THANK YOU for posting this very informative and detailed video. I can't thank you enough!!

Great video. This problem was a big headache. Your instructions are very clear. I was able to solve the problem. I highly recommend this video. Thank you.
Thanks for the video--it worked. I stared at it about 10 minutes longer than I should have though because I was literally looking for a white "T" and "U" on my board whereas I just have the "JOPEN" ... Explaining that the "T" and "U" are the shapes of the actual metallic circuit in the description and not a label might be helpful. Also I'm not sure everyone understands that the metal clips holding the memory are what you used to short it since you can't see that in the video. But thanks again!
i tried it as u show me in youtube but it still doesn't work. Where can i get the ground wire from the mother board? And do i need to connect with the battery or power cord while i doing as show me in video?
i tried this, at first it went to the screen where it days Toshiba
and at the bottom it says press F2 or F12 ( I tried the process all over again)
Would not do anything no matter what I pressed, now when I started again, the screen is completely black, nothing on there. You can hear the laptop running and it's on but complete black screen. Please help me
@indemmand I trie it and it work and when I was in that dos mode I believe it's what it called where you enter the time it froze on me and then back to step one, I will attempt it again though, Thank you guys

I tried it and it comes on but the screen stays blank, nothing shows up. Do you know whats causing this, oh by the way, I have the same computer you have A135
Hi I'm having trouble identifying the jumper. Was wondering if you received my email with the photo last week and had time to have a look at it for me.
I dont see the jumper once ive removed the battery and two memory covers i have. Once i pull the film cover i dont see the t nor the u. Toshiba satellite A135-S4527 Is the jumper located somewhere else on my model, it looks like the same model that your working on?
The jumper is located near the memory slots. Remove the memory cover and memory and take a picture. Send me the picture of that area and I will reply back with the location of the jumper.
You can try a paper clip as well and if that doesn't work send us your laptop for repair. Yes, we have a store front in the city of Altadena, CA and you can send us the Laptop for repair. You can call us for a price .
No. This process will not work on a hard drive that has a user or master password set. If you forgot the password the best option for you is to buy another hard drive.
Im sure im getting power as my charging light comes on when i plug it in. However when i push the power button i hear the fan turn on and the dvd drive click, but the screen doesnt even light up it stays black. Already tried plugging in an external moniter and nothing.

Sorry to hear that but it sounds like a motherboard issue. Maybe one of your memory sticks is bad try turning your laptop on with only one,. Hope that helps.
It took my many hours longer than it should have. Why?
In the video you DO NOT explain where to put the "GROUND END" of the wire. Your hand was blocking the view, I did further research and someone on another site said "The ground is the round post between the mother board and the case. Also you do not explain the "T" and "U". I was looking for the LETTERS "T" and "U" JOPEN1 with a white silkscreen square. Inside the square you will see what looks like the letter T over a U. Thanks!!
I can't believe after owning the laptop for about 4 years the problem now shows up on my wife's laptop. Looks like Toshiba had a problem with the early bios. Followed your steps and it worked like a charm.
I have this same laptop, same problem. Followed all your directions step-by-step, and only the power lit up and the screen stayed black. I took it apart again and assembled it again and now it's asking for the password... back to square one. Where did I go wrong?
took a try or two but worked like a charm. toshiba said $425 to fix because it sounded like a dead motherboard. you are the man!!! thanks for the video
I want to be thankful for the explanation. I am of the other side of the world and with its aid I could decide the problem of much people of Brazil, one more time thanks a lot for the video. abraços, bless you to God.
I have the same problem on a Toshiba Sattelite L450 notebook. Unfortunately the board inside the memory compartment is different. Any insight on what to do?
Thanks worked great!

Check voltage on your power adapter first and see if that
's the problem. If not you might have damaged the board.
FYI.. I don't think you damaged the motherboard If you shorted out the correct jumper you would not have any damage to your motherboard.

@moviewatcher7249
Sorry to hear that but it sounds like a motherboard issue. Maybe one of your memory sticks is bad try turning your laptop on with only one,. Hope that helps.

Does it work for the A210 Toshiba Laptop as Well?

If you see what looks like a U and a T where the memory is located then yes it should work.

Hello, i follow all of youre steps and it work, but now when i try to access the computer, but now it tells the access of the HD its block.
Do you have another tutorial to unblock the HD to access the computer

@PINKFLOYD57
It sounds like you have a hard drive password as well. You need to find a utility that will remove it or change the hard drive with a new one.
Hope that helps.

I have this same laptop, same problem. Followed all your directions step-by-step, and only the power lit up and the screen stayed black. I took it apart again and assembled it again and now it's asking for the password... back to square one. Where did I go wrong?

where is the ground shit
playstoppa 1 year ago
The ground is on the sides of the memory slots. It's solder to the motherboard.

I have the same problem on a Toshiba Sattelite L450 notebook. Unfortunately the board inside the memory compartment is different. Any insight on what to do?
vassilischr 1 year ago
@vassilischr
This process will only work on the A135 model. You can try and do a search online to see anyone has removed the bios password on the L450.
