Mountingoat - Sorry to hear that. Well, Tuck and Robin lakes are a pretty good second to the 'chants and the don't require the same sort of permit. I've got a slide show of that as well and they are a good destination. Take care.

I had to give up my permit this year to go work at a stellar job and this slideshow makes me so jealous you have no idea.

My God that was beautiful. I backpacked Rocky Mtn, Roos. and Arapaho Nat. Forest and that slide show still took my breath away.

Beautiful Hike. If possible think about a trip in late Sept to mid Oct... The larch trees turn yellow and orange, its spectacular! ~ Peace
