  • what in the world is that type of crossing at 1:37?

  • put some gate to that crossing to be safer

  • Man... Love the videos. Do you know is WSOR still runs from janesville out to monroe, wi still today? I was out in Juda today getting photos of the depot. I'd LOVE to see the train still using that line past a great old depot like juda's. I didn't get to the Monroe Depot, so thats for my next excursion.

  • why no bells?

  • That WC HAyes E bell is dead

  • 4:16 you will notice the gates went down and the engines were on the crossing at the same time.

  • whoo check out the highway 69 crossing.

i never seen gates like that before.

    awesome video!

  • nice horn Type P3 Whats with the huge crossing gates when the trains are only going 20 to 25 those should be used on the Joliet to St Louis Line for Amtraks going 110 Mph not 20 to 25, seems like a waist of money

  • WHERE?

  • Those two guys at the beginning of the video got some IQ. This is a classic example of what never to do at an RR crossing.

  • you know thats a bad crossing you goin 60 and coming from a curve. also it' marked exempt

  • assholes always blow the fucking crossing signals! i hate those people!

  • In 1st scene, why couldn't those 2 cars waited for 2 engines! If the lights are flashing, the road is closed! On the last scene, the crew should have waited 17 seconds after the gates lowered to cross the road (NTSB rule)

  • nice you knew those back roads well I live in Brodhead and Shindler Rd is a great place to catch them.

  • Wow theres light.

  • At 3:08 the engine bell is in sync with the crossing lights. What are the chances

  • God damnit that horn sucked!

  • Cool! Excellent shots. It's rare for there to be no inbound cars for Monroe, isn't it? I wonder if that was somehow related to the decision for the early call time.

  • Yeah its sad the barriers didnt get down in time during the second time it crossed!

  • well they would have, but they started from a stop and were probably 15 yards from the crossing when they started.

  • I see well thanks!

  • @DRock1694 There were no barriers at that first crossing at the time of filming.

  • Nice job! That was really awesome when you paced it!

  • thanks! yeah, part II has a section of pacing too. glad you liked!

  • whoops! part I i meant! sorry.
