Barrichello on the top step, racing in the rain, around a track with a corner named for Senna, with Senna's former team-mate and test driver beside him. Amazing, emotional, what else can be said?
@Kellemaniac no it's not wrong. they were 98, because in austria mclaren didn't get 10 points from mika hakkinen's victory because of an irregularaty on the finn's car.
It was a great race and everyone just seemed to love Rubens winning. Hakkinen who pretty much had the race in the bag couldn't bring himself to be annoyed that he lost the grand prix he seemed to enjoy it more than if he had won the race. That was a great German Grand Prix, and the crowds response was fantastic too. I miss the old hockenheim circuit.
If you weren't in Ferrari or McLaren during this season, it would have been hard to get into the top 4 without retirements from those 4 drivers. Hard, but not impossible.
ahhhh f1 10 years ago, emotion, packed grandstands, scenery, air horns, the lot. BERNIE GET THE HELL OUT OF THOSE GOD FORESAKEN TRACKS IN THE MIDDLE/FAR EAST they are ruining the spectacle. The locals just arent interested, every race seems totally devoid of any kind of atmosphere, all the tracks look the same, boring flat mixtures of the same old corners (has no one heard of hills out there) gone are the days of grandprixs where the drivers could hear the crowd over the engine!! rant over
Rubens wins with dry tires in rain conditions.....Hakkinen.....Coulthard and all others drivers changed for wet tires....Senna and Rubens= rain master!!!
I missed old races man. Barrichello my favourite until 99. Hockenheim 2000 won't forget man. And yes i7I4 that was not rubens that was ayrton senna. This race Barrichello save Ferrari and Schumi if he finished 3rd Ferrari and Schumi lost their position so this is more important for Ferrari. I wish the old races come back man. We want hakkinen-schumi rivalry. We want to see Barrichello's overtakings. We want to see the teams like jordan, prost, arrows etc. I become cold Formula-1 this days.
Rubens Barrichello, always a perennial favorite for me. I'm so glad that Brawn GP kept him. He's very special, not only as having the most grand prix starts of any active driver. He's also the most experienced one, as well as the only active driver who had any sort of ties with Ayrton Senna, my hero.
Great win for a brilliant driver, probably the most honest person in F1 at the moment, and hope the new team replacing Honda will keep him. F1 is all the more better because of Rubens

he was so lucky to win this race! without the asshole that coused the safety car he would finnish in best case third, but anyway, best congrats rubens!
I was so happy for Rubens when he won this race. I don't see Hamilton or Raikkonen displaying pure unashamed emotion like this. I condemn any person who says that this is funny...I nearly cried when I saw this.
I did cried and i am not ashamed of that, as a proud Brazilian, this brou back some memories that we'll never forget. And to see our flag on top and hear or national anthems was, ow well till today still hard not to cry.
I still can't watch this with dry eyes, Rubens is such a great sportsman and always comes across as a genuinely nice guy and its moments like that, that remind you how wonderful F1 can be at times.
it was a race that I remember today still.. to win a grand prix departing from the fund, having the slick tyres on the wet one was something of fantastic..
