  • All that I can tell You man is that I made sure that I bought my belts from a Hoover dealer or a dealer/repair shop that actually has to deal with them. I worked for the Mens Wearhouse for 14 Years and the Vacuum repair shop was charging exorbitant fees so often that they were glad when I went to visit the repair people and asked them about what needed to be done, and I often had to check that they actually sold me the right kind of belt specific to that particular unit. Check the brush bar...

  • I have a Crosley upright that I have changed the belt on before with no problems. This last time I have had 3 belts snap as soon as I replace them and run the vac. I am using the same belts I have always used. What could be problem?

  • Thank you so much.. I accidently got a collar stuck in my Hoover and the brushes stopped spinning. This video was helpful diagnosing my issue.

  • No problem, I decided that I needed to make a few of these Videos for the people that I worked with at The Mens Wearhouse/K&G's just to get them going, after I moved on.

Glad that I could have been of service to You.

  • This was very helpful in giving me an idea of how to change the belt on a similar model, the Hoover Spirit. Thank you!

  • Was that three times you slammed the machine down?

  • @brettsomers yeah, I realized that Later. I was working one handed on the unit.
