Wrong! no WMD's was found what so ever, they found old stuff that had been used or was out of action and have been for some time! @fresky74 Taking out Saddam had to be done and I'm surprised that the UN hadn't taken him out earlier but I think they was scared that this would happen so this is why they didn't back it. It would be nice if there was an easy way to make world peace but untill that happens yeah civilians will suffer. @Future0311 Oh yea, and about those battles...Iwo Jima was highly fortified. the japs hid in pillboxes and caves and holes just waiting to stick thier gun out and kill a dozen Marines..About Peleliu, the airfield was taken within days but to maintain it is another matter..And Guadalcanal we Americans had no help. marines were left there for four months w/o food/drink supply so they had to find it themselves. Malaria spread and Japs were rellentless but Marine came out on top.

The Marines landed, the Marines took control of the airfield and the island and Im sure a few good allys gave their lives as well. Wrong! no WMD's was found what so ever, they found old stuff that had been used or was out of action and have been for some time! The people was happy so no human rights were being broken! the only think they could've done was arrest Saddam who was guilty breaking human rights but they had no right to enter Iraq to get him. So entering Iraq was trespassing therefore breaking the UN laws against interfearing in a country that was happy with the lives they was leading.

It's always been this way and that is why War sucks. there has never been a war that the civilian population didnt suffer just as much as the warriors do. The whole point is when the war is over that the civilians will be safe and it will be a better place than it was before.

@fresky74 Taking out Saddam had to be done and I'm surprised that the UN hadn't taken him out earlier but I think they was scared that this would happen so this is why they didn't back it. It would be nice if there was an easy way to make world peace but untill that happens yeah civilians will suffer. I guess we would be in the same boat if our countries was mass attacked, we won't bow down to the attackers untill we really have too. It would be wierd living in a country being attacked so much.

My dad faught with the Gurkha's in the far east back in the 70's, my dads a right hard bastard but he said he was nothing to the Gurkha's. I tried joining the army but they didn't let me in due to my medical past so I ended up going into electronics building stuff for the military, christ those were the days, but damn scarey what I was building.

You was loosing that war so badly you come crawling on your knees to our British forces to train your troops how to fight in jungle warfare and you still didn't manage to win it. They saved the Aussies asses (which they were grateful for) and took Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Peleliu, Guadalcanal, as well as other Japanese bases/airfields etc. As of Baghdad, Yes, in 23 days from entering Iraq American Marines, Soldiers, and a fraction of Coalition soldiers took Baghdad. If there was an army to kill the war would of ended in 2004.

@Future0311 Iwo Jima was a fail, yeah you managed to capture the island but you lost more forces than the Japs, you lost over 3 times the amount as the Japanese! Okinawa was so bloody for you and you lost so much resources the order was given to drop the bomb so.... fail. Peleliu was a small island with only 1 airfield and the order was given to take it in 4 days.... it took you 2 months defended by only 30,000 troops.... fail. Well done with Guadalcanal, but you did have help with that one....

@Future0311 Oh yea, and about those battles...Iwo Jima was highly fortified. the japs hid in pillboxes and caves and holes just waiting to stick thier gun out and kill a dozen Marines..About Peleliu, the airfield was taken within days but to maintain it is another matter..And Guadalcanal we Americans had no help. marines were left there for four months w/o food/drink supply so they had to find it themselves. Malaria spread and Japs were rellentless but Marine came out on top.

The Marines landed, the Marines took control of the airfield and the island and Im sure a few good allys gave their lives as well. Their presence there had no notible affect on the outcome of the battle tho. Anyways, the Australians were sure as hell greatful when they welcomed the Marines in with cheers and music.

What the hell do they train them to do? drink and sing songs? Yeah they are surposed to be an attacking force from the sea but they should be able to collect food without a fishing rod and they should be able to fight.....
