  • LADIES BE CAREFUL as the Monistat Chafing gel box looks very similar to the Monistat Anit-Itch box YOU DON'T WANT THT-I wnt to both rite aid and walgreens here down the NJ shore and NONE !!:( ONLY THE darn anti itch and was going by memory and was right b/c box looks identical literally-so like a fool, I bought it-knowing it wld be NUTS to put hyrdrocortizone on my face-I knew but I had that seed of doubt, more like HOPE LOL! Well back to return at w.greens. I HOPE I FIND IT HERE! GOT RIMMEL NOW

  • sold! i just bought this primer and im looking forward to trying it out :D thanks for the helpful review!

  • Just so you people know, the loreal primer it is definitely NOT recommended for oily skin... I'd use it for a few months and actually makes my skin more oily, trust me, its not worth trying... Monistant or milk of magnesia is the best if you have oily skin like mine...

  • OMG! Thank you SOOOO much for this post! I've never used a primer before and I've been wanting to try one but didn't quite feel like spending 30 bucks on one. Can't wait to go buy the monistat! Thanks again :-)

  • I love Monistat Chaffing Gel I loathe the L'oreal base. For some reason I had a bad reaction to it and it totally dried my skin out on my entire face. I had to go heavy on the Ponds face cream for a few days to totally get rid of all the dry skin. The only base I will ever use is the Monistat. I found a knock off makeup base a few months ago and it is the same exact thing as the Monistat so when I can't find my gel I reach for the knock off.

  • Great review,thank you! I'm so subscribed!

  • is the loreal stuff good for oily skin ? is it worth the money.

  • @deannario i was just asking because you were using your pinky finger more in this videi than any other so thats why i thought that. I thought maybe it was quite thick so it was easier to blend out with your pinky finger than your ring finger ******* subscribed *******

  • @deannario Does using your pinky like help with blending or gentleness? (im not trying to be snotty so dorry if it came off that way)

  • @TaylorDewfresh Actually your ring finger has the least amount of pressure. I always try to remember that when ever I use any kind of cream on my face. I try to only use my middle, ring and pinky fingers. Don't worry I didn't take it as snotty : )

  • why using a feminine product on the face

  • @smupy8 Ummm, Monistat CHAFFING gel is not a female product.

  • wowwww thanks for this review its the best!

  • So i barely found out about using Monistat as a primer literaly like 20 minutes ago :O i wud have NEVER thought about using this on my face, but i'm going to give Monistat a try. Great Review/Comparison, thanks :)

  • you did such a GREAT job with this review! this is exactly what i wasw searching for! thanky a million!

  • @thereselovesmakeup13 Oh I'm so glad it helped : )

  • i just got this :) gonna put it in a cute container. so excited to try it!

  • this video is legit! hahahaha great! great! great!

  • great review!

  • Omg this video helped so much. I'm on my second bottle of loreal and I needed a comparison to see if I wanted the monostat. So thanks sooo much! :)

  • I really really need this, THANK YOU.

  • this is the most honest and livly review... Im going to get this today! Thank you so much and just became a sub... :)

  • @canaandogatlas1 awe, thank you so much ... welcome : )

  • You're hilarious lol(:

  • I heard that the Monistat is suppose to give you black heads? Has anyone had this problem?

  • dose the Monistat help minimize pore area skin kinda thing? i have oily skin and large pore skin. does Monistat help fill in those area? also does it give you dewy finish?

  • @fayethailand Kinda ... what it dies for me is smooths everything so that when I put my foundation on I have a nice surface : ) It doesn't give a dewy finish ... the type of foundation you choose would do that

  • @fayethailand I saw this comment which might help ya ... "@oozer23 I have very oily skin and I use it. No, it doesn't not stop oil. I don't even think it's oil-free. You have to get Smashbox Light or Murad matte, but those don't do a great job of smoothening the skin. Best bet is to just use the Monistat, apply foundation, and powder and blot. Sucks being oily but most products don't work on us. "

  • @deannario you can try milk of magnesium on your face to absorb the oil and then use a primer over it if necessary.

  • does the monistat cream clog pores? Does it stop the oil? Because I have really greasy, oily skin.

  • @Ariegiggles first of all it's for Monistat CHAFFING GEL ... different stuff.

  • thank you so much for making this video!!!!! it helped a lot!

  • do you know if they have this at target?

  • I'm not 100% sure but I think they do. I get the Monistat at Walmart so I'm sure that Target should have it. As far as the L'Oreal, not too sure. Target sometimes doesn't carry everything that is in a line. I would check though : )

  • MONISTAT FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOO!!! lololol! It does make a big difference! I love the PR too!! Work, girl!

  • @mStAyl0rr09

If you're referring to the Monistat gel, I got mine today at target, by the feminine hygeiene products.

  • thank u ! very informative :)

  • great review! i actually just bought the loreal primer today. now i want to try the monistat. i'm surprised you said you got the monistat at walmart because i've never seen it at a walmart or maybe it's because i never paid attention. i will look for it now! :) thanks

  • thanks! Also, what is this music? It's pretty.

  • Deanna I love your attitude :) I have to thank you for this review I have never tried Monistat but I will try to find it, you have me sold lol <3

  • i love the starting..

    u r such a sweetheart!!

    love ur vid!

  • Thank you. I love side by side comparisons.

  • Unless someone is carrying "PhotoShop" with them, the program that makes pictures look better, than I doubt that anything is worth spending more when you can find something cheaper that works just as well. People buy into hype because they want to be one of those "well everyone is using it type crowds" and "only the best for me". Blah, if you got money to burn, then fine I guess. I just think it's silly, so thank you for doing that.

  • I really love the chaffing gel! Great video...

  • you have beautiful eye color.

  • great review hun :) i bought the loreal secrets primer to try it out..and i'm not a fan.

  • HI Deanna :)

Great review! I use & like both of these products, along with Smashbox Photofinish Light.

LOL! I bought the Studio Secrets from Ulta with the $2 coupon & a $5 Ulta coupon (in the same issue of InStyle you held up). Total= a reasonable $5.99.

I only use the SS for trouble spots: acne spots or small area of pores or wrinkles. It works best once moisturizer is fully absorbed. I still use Smashbox for super special nights & Monistat for full face craziness.

    Peace

I like the SS, but I do not use it as a full face primer, just for trouble spots. Over an acne spot or over a small area of pores. It definitely works better over dried absorbed moisturizer.

    Peace :)

  • WOW!

  • Truth be told...I liked both sides in the end...However..I liked the L'oreal..when u first applied it...over bare skin...It had a bit of coverage..under ur eye area...it smoothed it right out...Up close and personal...well...ur gonna see everything then..nothing covers that well..lol...I won't even look at myself..that close..for fear of crying.....;p

  • very cool experiment! i can't ever find that chaffing gel, what section is it in?

  • Love this review!! I recently purchased the Loreal Perfecting Base and haven't been all to impressed by it. Think I may run out and buy the Monistat gel. Thank you so much for thisreview!!

  • Thank you so much for the review, they are always sooo helpful.Unfortunately I have tried Monistat and it breaks me out with milias after a month or so of use(but I loved the finish :(( boohoo) What I really cared about was the L'oreal review..I also had received the trial in my magazine but it was busted and dried out lol, glad you posted it. Again thanks!! :)
