@jemattie You should be able to sync the sample with your beat by using the tune knob ( and sometimes holding "shift" with it ) to make tempo adjustments to get you in the ballpark
I have sampler the things i like with maschine but i have had troubles to make it work on time with the beats. The manual shows how to sample but i doesn't show how to fit things together. Do you have any solution. thanks
@MrAcuario78 - You should be able to sync the sample with your beat by using the tune knob ( and sometimes holding "shift" with it ) to make tempo adjustments to get you in the ballpark.
@reignman865 hey bro, nice track. hey one question, when you get your self a sample, whats your chop method? or pad assignment method? do you use the 'slice' method where it chops them for you,? do you put your sample on say 4 pads and adjust the start end points that way and get 4 samples... kinda thing.... ?
@ShomaAvarec Just browse for the sample via the Maschine software. When it's assigned to a pad, hit the Sampling button, then choose edit and you're done!
I love this machine! The best part is everyone can show there real artistic side. I'm gonna get one soon enough! And the beat matches really sweet I'd play it in the club as a mix for sure. Cheers mate
C'mon, man. The Maschine has hella drums. Why you using those sounds? The sample has a gang of reverb and shit, and the drums don't. This beat would be crazier if you worked on the mix a little more in maschine.
@BlackSoultan - Yea, I think this is like the second video I posted on Youtube... So that means I'd only had my Maschine for about a month... So I hadn't really figured out what exactly it could do... Thanks for the input though...
Hey. Are you able to record something (like piano) on a synth keyboard (for instance a yamaha mo8) and set it as one of the pads on the maschine so it plays when u hit it?????
@jcwoody516earthlink - I believe you would have to record the synth piece first in wav. format, then import it into Maschine. There may be another way to do it, but I haven't done much in that regard. When I hook up my keyboard, I usally use the sounds in the Maschine library. There's a pretty nice selection to choose from.
@jcwoody516earthlink Yes you can!! You just set it to record and when the input exceeds the level you set it begins recording. Then you can easily adjust the start and end points of your recording to make it loop properly. This is the coolest addition to my studio in years.
@Profusionxreview - Thanks man, I just wish that I had more time to work with it... Let me know when you get it, I'll be looking forward to hearing something from you.
Yo, thanks a lot.... Yeah, I just used one of the factory drum kits. I really didn't think it would turn out as good as it did. I have something similar in the works.... with harder drums...(and no clave)
Thanks, it's always nice to know someone is watching... The tascam is good, I like it. Its real simple (just how I like to keep it) I had been importing my maschine beats into it to and adding vocals, but just last night I watched your video about adding vocals right into the maschine. So I might start experimenting with that. I'm still trying to figure out how you're making that mic to maschine connection...
yo..I got a firewire mixer (m-audio NRV10) and its simple..I got my mic plugged into channel 3 on the mixer and then I go into maschine settings and set the "input" to record channel 3. Simple as that...so when I sample on maschine it picks up whatever comes thru my mic...and for the record...I am about to keep it simple like you are doing..I may invest in a multi track recorder like the tascam because i am tired of recording vocals on a computer (i miss the old school)
Cool, so its not me... I sat there looking at my set up thinking I must be missing something, even though I hadnt pulled anything apart to try it I couldnt even visualize the connection with the equipment Im working with. I may be able to find a way around it without having to cop a mixer (for now), but for the vocals (and the price), I would say grab the tascam.
dude i use a tascam dp02 is that the cd one or the cf on i went with the cd one cause someone stole my computer and the on i got now dont have a cd burner but i love it its so simple and doesnt distract u from making beats like protools would it makes u just do everything in the mpc plus i like having that vinyl sound in the beats but let me know what u think about the tascam i had a few questions like how do u transfer songs/ use the far partition get back at me peace bro thanx
