  • the song written by Shri Chowallur Krishnankutty, who walks before the LORD holding the vilakku everyday morning and evening is pure gem. The song was written for Shri T.S. • wow.... what a devotional song.. no words to describe chitra's voice... gives a feeling of having a darshan at guruvayoor !! God bless you chitraji...

  • I'm not Indian, so please don't be offended...is this classified as carnatic vocals or hindustani vocals? I'm trying to learn the difference between the two.

  • It is classified as devotional song. Indian devotional songs are mostly set to a rAgA which is the base for Indian classical music - both carnatic and hindustani. This particular song is in south indian language called malayALam.

  • @sexysucculent: carnatic vocals. sorry for the late reply.

  • no words to comment. so beautifully sung. chitra chechi........ur voice has a magic power.

  • It has the feeling of going to the temple and coming back. Chithra Chechi's voice is just so pure and the way she sings devotional songs, it comes straight from the heart and all songs have a deeper meaning if they are rendered by Chithraji.
