I know what's an asylum, it's like a hospital for mentally sick people.

But do stuff like in Asylum 626 really happen?

Testing people, cutting and hurting them to HELP them?

Please someone who's informed answer me this question because it's bugging me and i would like to know more about it.

They didn't know what was happening with those patients, or they had some crazy theories, so shit happened all the time. All sorts of torture happened, including rape... But TODAY, I don't believe that any Asylum is like that. Great xD!

@Pure5Productz I spent some time in one.I think mental hospitals aren't so bad. They aren't fun. But it's NOTHING like they show here. The Media uses this to trigger fear into the viewer - but, theydon't "experiment" on you. Restraints are used if a patient becomes violent, but even then, it's a last resort. "Punishment" generally includes sitting in "The Quiet Room", having "Time Out" in your own room, or having priveleges taken away. If you cooperate and are respectful, you'll be just fine.

I won't go into details, but my diagnosis has ranged from Anxiety to Panic Disorder to PTSD to Depression to Bipolar Disorder to Avoidant Personality Disorder to....lots of things. It continues to change as time goes on. Oh well. If those labels give you an idea of why I was in the hospital, then good. If you have any more questions, I'll gladly answer through a PM.
