  • Hi, I did all what you said and I still cannot connect? any idea/

    1. I created a username (administrator) and a passeword for the to connect to

    2. I enabled remte desktop under properties of computer

    3. I ticked the right boxed in windows fireweall and enabled remote desktop in exceptions

    4. I forwarded port 3389 firewall of router to the computer I want to connect.

    Still does not work?

any idea as this is very frustrating.

  • okay?

  • A router is a firewall.. yea.. not the thing hisself, but the router is also a firewall so.........

  • thank you

  • you could have explained it so much better. if i were a novice that would have confused me even further. a demonstration would have cleared up some of the gaps you left open. confusing people with the ipchicken stuff was just silly you did not mention that u need to type as follows into the remote desktop window your ip address followed by the port in the folling format. 55.172.200.43:3389 or whatever port you have actually set up RDC on the server to use

  • lol

  • THANKS

  • "router is a firewall" ehh, it's not.. =/
