  • I dont quite understand it- Why cooking classes in Mainland China always use MSG? We all know that it is chemical and a lot of ppl are allergic to it. Are the chefs lack of confidence that they cannot bring the original flavor of the dish? If not, why adding it? In N. America, high qtly ethnic restaurants always label themsleves of not using MSG.............. A BIG selling point.

  • @eastwest3002 this is the tradition. we have used it for hundred years. we all know that it has no nutritience but if we eat it not so much, it will also not be harmful to health. and MSG tastes really good.
