  • awesome.

  • that sounds bomb

  • Thank you !

  • That was different,,,,,I Like Different!Nice job,,,leave it to a lefty to think outside the box ;)

  • hey that was really great, i stumbled upon this by accident, but was glad i did. nice inside out playing. sounds like a some martian blues, man. i'm trying to learn to play "on the outside" of typical playing.. i've been playing for 5 years and am getting to be pretty comfortable in playing guitar-y sounding stuff, but i strive for the atypical.. any advice?

  • Thank you !

I can only tell you that I personally, don't do covers.

This gives me more time to concentrate on 'self styling'.

Play when you want to play.

Variety is the spice of life and it stops boredom !

    I just love it !

  • hey trev..thats sum talent ya got there..listened 2 a few of ur otha pieces and there bloody good..good luck for the future and all the best 2 your family, charlotte x

  • Cracking !!!

    Thanks Charlotte.

I'm working on another upload at this moment !

    I hope you like it.

    Trev.

  • Oh heck ya' Trev...sounds sweet.

  • Thank you !!!

  • Very nice mate, fancy fixing a strimmer?

  • Hi Andrew !

    Hahahahah !

I'll call in to see you within the next day or so.

  • This is pretty solid.

  • Lovely stuff. Good wallpaper too.

  • HAHAH !!!

    Thank you Chris.

  • haha!

  • It sounds like the end of Tubular Bells, no?

  • Yes, it certainly does. But without Mike Oldfield's Studio!

  • You have to share your rig set up. I'm guessing you have some flat wound strings on that bad boy, is that right?

  • .008 to 0.38 Gauge Gold Electric Strings and a good set of 'Leather ended fingers' !

    Cool, bendy and amazingly versatile.

Optima Gold Strings, the finest laboratory steel is used. In addition the strings are plated with 24 Carat Gold.Great for harmonics right accross the scale.

  • Waycool use of harmonics Trev i really dig your style

  • Thanks!

  • u r missing the Timing mate...

  • After listening to your uploads I'd be pretty embarrassed over that comment.

    Still, each to his own.

    Buy yourself a tuner.

    Have a nice day!

  • fuck yeah man! That's how a strat ought to sound! Nice reverb-y-ness to it, got some sorta funked-out SRV stuff going on!

  • Cheers for your comment !

  • Are you using a pick and fingers or just fingers? If you are just using fingers, do you cut your thumb nail different? Mine must be to long because when I try to play with my thumb parallel to the string the nail grabs the string.

  • Hi. I don't use picks.

I only have the use of my forefinger and thumb on my left hand.

I'll be uploading a new track within the next couple of weeks and I'll make sure the camera gets a 'close-up' of the finger work as it's impossible to explain.

Cheers and all the best for the coming New Year!

  • Come play at Melodies Trevman

  • I is on my way 'tigerswing'!

Hope you're well, see you soon.

  • you know how a Stratocaster should sound.

  • Mike Oldfield? Sounds really smooth.

  • that was really cool. the way you strummed the natural harmonics blew me away when i heard it. and i also liked how you continuously sped up the the progressions and while adding a little improve in between. ROOCK ON MAN!!!

  • Thank you, nice kind comment!

It's so inspired me to do a new composition.

    Watch this space 'Astro'!

  • fuck yeah brother good stuff, you're rippin it

  • dude u fucking suck ass, learn how to play

  • wow ur a jerk veil.....

  • Nice playing man, it has a good feel and sounds almost atmospheric (ambient). I dig it.

  • lovely

  • great!!!

  • Ok, but there's nothing totally different here.

  • weird

  • loved it ! great job with those chords

  • tabs tabs tabs!

  • wicked!

  • I don't get it. It doesn't sound very good to me. It kinda sounds like someone who is trying to learn to play. You no how they sound off. Thats what it sounds like and theres nothing new about that because there's lots of people who play guitar that are way off. Sorry didn't like it at all.

  • Can you play that well? I doubt it or you wouldn't have said that. So shut it!

  • you probably dont even play guitar, do you?

  • i would have to agree.. looks to me like hes just playing an e minor, harmonics, and throwing in some minor power chords.. i mean no doubt hes a good guitar player, but nothing really special

  • I'm totally bemused!

Thank you. But what's a 'power chord'?

  • see nirvana

  • Who?

  • It's like a beginners bar chord :-P

Basically just the first 3 strings in a bar chord.

  • No matey, you're 100% right!

I'm absolute shite and should give up playing guitar!

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to learn something about myself.

Just as a matter of course...

    Do you play guitar?

Maybe an upload of your guitar playing would give me inspiration?

Please put up some of your guitar music.

I'm always up for something proper.

  • Labellyy, I'm assuming you don't play guitar, or are utterly tone deaf since you apparently can't hear the difference between the chords.

Also if you weren't a totally inept musically ignorant prick on the running his mouth on the internet, you'd also know that power chords are neither major or minor.

Thank you so much for you utterly uniformed guitar commentary.

  • OOOOoooffff !

Well, what can one add to a statement of such depth and clarity?

    Nothing at all.

    Thank you 'DrivenMind'!

  • That was cool.

  • woow dude awsome!!! you should make an album or something

  • FREAKIN AWESOME DAD!

  • OH MY GOD WOW!!! Hey man, how long have you been playing the guitar, and when did you start? One of my life goals is to be as good at freestyle as you are man.

    6/5 stars.

  • damn thats good, nice use of the harmonics

  • stupefied !!! gorgeous

  • how the hell do you ever learn to play something that good...

  • no me gusta... suena mal

  • I love clever use of harmonics. I really enjoyed that, in a band?

  • Nice to hear someone playing in this way. Great skills and imagination.

  • Thank you.

Variety is the spice of life!

  • Very nice tones!

And that guitar of yours is a piece of art!

  • i like your guitar :)

  • Thank you!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Your comment is one of great weight! Thanks.

  • well done! that riff has power!

  • Thankyou!

  • 'sick' is a compliment. it means really really good or impressive, etc.

  • Thank you, I've finally sussed it!

  • I think jocko was paying you a compliment.

  • Am I that bad?

  • NOOO! Take it from another picker, you have the goods.

"sick" is the new cool. As in "that car is sooo sick!"

Wouldn't be my choice of words, but I'm probably two generations removed from jocko774.

  • That's good, it seems I've let myself slide right out of touch!

    Thanks for that!

  • Sick harmonics sick sounding strat!

  • Man. . . .that was good! The harmonics and the fingerpicking. . . good stuff. That was beautiful and tasteful. Keep posting.

  • Cheers, Top man!

  • beautiful work. lefties rule.

  • Wow!!! Thanks!

  • Keep up with the good work mate! thumbs up!

  • Thank you for your most welcome comment!

  • cool video, Im also a natural lefty, but I'm trying to learn on a righty guitar. I can be ambidextrous sometimes. I'd love to be able to play both ways.

  • I first started out playing a right handed guitar 'upside down'. I got my first left handed guitar when I was sixteen which I've still got.

  • something really cool about a left handed player jammin' to a blues on a strat(know anyone who used to do that?(lol)).....enjoyed big time, great playin'.....

  • Thank you!

  • I didn't realise that there was so much help for guitar

players on here,(You Tube). It is so much easier to learn by watching someone playing a chord or a riff, than by trying to read about it in a book. I am currently having a go at playing moveable scales....major, minor and pentatonic. And I love my guitar again and playing it.

    Penti.

  • I can agree with you 100%. Youtube is very beneficial in many aspects to all musicians.

    Thank you for your comment.

    Trev.

  • Thank you, you are right. Timing is critical.

  • Very impressive....I am learning the guitar and, although I know some chords and make some nice sounds, I have got to a stage that I feel that I am "stuck" and not learning anything...no matter how hard I try.

I look at my guitar and both love it and hate it in equal measure!!!

    You are inspirational.

  • Thanks man!

You know, on many occasions whilst learning I got stuck myself and considered 'giving up'.

I realised I was trying too hard and took a 2 day break between sessions.

On returning to it, I even surprised myself.

Frustration can be beaten, don't give up!

    I felt exactly the same.

    Trev.

  • After 14 years of playing, the hardest thing for me is to be creative and original. Your doing both quite well. My only suggestion, and its pretty unoriginal: don't be afraid of the metronome :)

  • WOW! great tune dude

  • Thanks, your comment is appreciated!

    Nice Cyber-Jam coming soon!

  • It surer is "different" but it's so good!! You've got what it takes!

  • Thank you!

  • Great talent man. This song really reached something in me. The music speaks without words. There is so much feeling. As always don't stop.

  • I'm grateful for your comments!

    Thanks!

  • sounds a lot like SRV's sound

  • Well! Thank you for the compliment!

  • nice jam man

    thumbs up

  • Cheers!

  • Was there a little tubular bells in that? Great tune mate.

  • Yes! I was wondering when someone would pick up on it.

Tubular Bells made a nice little 'fill-in'.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you friend! I think it's important to sound different and capture new interest.

Your comment is very much appreciated.

    Kindest regards.

    TwelvestringTrev!

  • guitar sounds great frets buzed a little and you missed some of the harmonics but it was a good tune. you need a pick for more controll p.s can i have your guitar 8p

  • Thank you for your comment.

This lick couldn't be played with a pick in a thousand years, it's too intense.

This is a 'live' mix and not as good sounding as the 'studio' mix, therefore small irregularities sound out a little prominent in parts.

Please advise me what a 'guitar 8p' is?

Excuse my ignorance as to what this means.

    Regards.

    TwelvestringTrev.

  • lol I think "8p" is a smiley with big eyes and a tongue sticking out - definitely not a guitar term. hehe good call though.

  • And there's me thinking I was being offered 8 pence for my Stratocaster! //(*O*)\\

  • Can you tell me what song it it is?...so relaxing :D

  • Yes I certainly can, it's a composition I've named 'Augmentation' from a C.D. that I'm currently putting together. The 'live' version is a little 'raw' in mono. Youtube hasn't got a decent audio codec as yet.

The Stereo studio version is much cleaner and has a nice crisp backing with matching percussion.

Thank you so much for your appraisal.

  • Thank you for your most welcome comment!

  • wow thats great

  • oh,my god...

  • I odn't know if I heard this before, but it does sound cool and I owuldn't mind learning it myself.

  • Yes,it does sound similar to a lot of stuff, but this is my own composition using quite a few augmented chords together with major's, minor's and harmonics.

    Thanks for your comment.

    TwelvestringTrev UK.

  • I already love yes just because of this, even though I've never heard of them before :)

  • Try the Yes 'Fragile' Album. It's excellent!

  • sounds like yes

  • What a tribute! I love yes, especially the 'Fragile' album.

    Thanks!
