@scbrandyman Hi Scbrandyman, I don't have the lyrics written, but do understand what he is singing. This is roughly the meaning.
If you hear the heartbeat than you know to whom you belong. Only if you dream about her than you (start to) believe that you will not miss anything. Left a Maderl (girl) , right a Maderl (girl) , how is that possible? Left a Busserl (kiss) right a Busserl (kiss) ....??? Left a girl right a girl that becomes unheimlich (scary) Let a kiss and right a kiss and
@DieterLo1 Thanks for the reply. This plus your prior responses are very helpful. I still wish that someone would send the complete lyrics in German so I could sing along. Greetings from South Carolina!

@scbrandyman Part 2 little more. Repeating the meaning. I think you understood. Okay to sing it in English may be some words could be changed. He sings it in dialect, which is either Austrian or Bavarian. Much is idendical in both dialects. Hope could help you little bit. Greetings from Germany! Dieter
@scbrandyman Second vers: If in her is flashing the eye fire and each word hits like a "Volltreffer" (direct hit), than I ask myself how long it goes like that? If the (Blatt drehen) tide will turn (situation turns around - difficult to translate that idom). A little kiss likes everyone, but what will be the outcome with you? Repeat left a kiss...
so it goes dayly.
That is the meaning of the song. Greetings Dieter, Germany
I can't stop watching it either. The song is such a happy song. I have tried to find an English translation of the lyrics with no luck. If any of our German friends can help out, please do so.
@scbrandyman I can't stop watching it either! It's so happy, bouncy and catchy! And those girls dancing...I could watch them forever. But God help me if my friends ever catch me watching it- they'd laugh me off the face of the planet! :)
Does anyone know if there are still places in Germany or Austria where folks still wear traditional clothing? And not just for the tourists. My mother says everyone wears blue jeans now. I dont want to believe her.
@phoenixcosma It would be a shame to completely lose the traditional dress and custom's. People call Canada multi-cultural, I call it zero-cultural. Everyone does thier own little thing in private. Maybe you need more Volksfesten and weddings!!
@woitis i am from austria and even though i am from a part of austria where nobody ever really wore the "traditional" clothing i know that there are still places where its common to wear "trachten" for special occasions like for a ball or something like that - but it mostly died out as everyday clothing
@4gs8vh4gs8vh Thanx for the reply. Im going to buy a traditional Loden jacket on ebay. Although Im Canadian, I'll wear it proudly due to my Austrian/German heritage. Might even consider a pair of 'Lederhosen' for weekend hiking around Banff. Ha! Ha! I'll probably look more Austrian then the Austrians! Now I just have to re-learn the German language. Danke
@woitis Todays Germany is pretty modern and many traditions are only some kind of "shows of amusement" for tourists who do believe that Germany is a place of total excess. The truth is Germany is one of the most work-centered nations and the strongest economical power in Europe which gives the lie to these traditions of joy as well as the mass of castle ruins here show the hollowed soul of our culture.
@woitis there are some out in the countryside or "boonies" . But its like asking where you can go in america and people dressed up like they do in the 50s or 70s. lol Maybe a festival or event. but you can find country western everywhere in small towns in america. So over there yes in the small towns or villiage areas and parts of the city. I suggest you go yourself dressed up and where it find you

Hallo, die Trachten- oder auch Landhausmode wird häufig
auf Volksfesten, sowie Hochzeiten in Bayern/Österreich/Schweiz getragen.
Standardmäßig wird ganz normale Kleidung getragen.

Listen to your mother. Traditional clothing are worn at folk festivals and such, not as everyday attire.
