no its just the fact japonese kierin riding is like horse racing if these guys were released on to the world or olympic circuit they would be easily beating the likes of Chris Hoy and the fact he hasnt got a fancy carbon fibre bike does come into it aswell i supose
I know and i was there but none of those japonese keirin riders were there so how could they win if they were at the world championships they would get all the sprint and keirin medals easy
Well, the other international competitors also have "tens of thousands of dollars worth or [sic] aero carbon", at least the better ones. I would agree that the material restrictions in keirin also restrict the performance and thus make the competition more fair. However, please don't forget that the tactical elements in keirin are different from those in sprint.
Uhh.....yes he was. It said at the beginning that he was the red #3. It also says that in the video description from Makuri. "get your facts straight"...good job, Ray.

@acab2003 well when he goes to world championships, everyone else also has, as you put, "aero carbon".

Theo Bos was in the race - finished dead last. The term "world champion" doesn't sometimes apply here - this is a game, not just about speed.

Using a Katakana table i'm able to read the racers name list, under the red number three ther is "TE-O BO-SU O-RA-N-DO", it means "Theo Boss Holland"

You are correct. The commentator also says "3-ban no Bos, dono hen de ugoite ikimasuka...(No.3 Bos, when will he make a move...)"
