This is a flawed character, ironic, a killer, who we now have sympathy for, because we identify with him, because he has been denied, we have been denied, he is sick, we have been sick, so the identification with him works as a great dramatic device to make us sympathize with him, thus wanting him to succeed.
We used the EF 24-70mm lens. The only color correction we did in post was to adjust the curves to darken the blacks and up the contrast. We also warmed up a few of the shots to match the others for the look we wanted.
