First off great video review. I recently picked this up here in Canada. I do have to disagree with you on a few things. I have taken a lot of pictures with my phone of my kids etc and I have found them to be better then my Samsung Captivate. Even though the megapixels are the same the quality in my opinion is great. The capture of video is super. The ease of use of this phone far surpasses my expectation in regards to an android phone. keep up the great work.

Hey can I just ask, in all the review of this phone I have seen, the screen doesn't come on when you get a new text and even when you do turn on the screen there is nothing to inform you that you have a text apart from the notification light. Is this true?

this is the best phone ever imo, but i'm hung up on whether i should root it or not and flash a custom rom. I really enjoy the ics experience but i had rooted and flashed several roms on my OG droid. I really liked the extra features some had to offer, however some were also very buggy and unstable. Should I just stay with ics and wait let google do their thing with the promised updates?

u must have the GSM version cause my nexus came with an 1850 mAh battery, i got the extended 2100 mAh battery, i'm now getting right at 2 days on my battery life. And as far as the volume, u can get the Volume plus app and that'll fix the volume, great review!

All you need is Cyanogenmod 9 and all your problems will go away :-) You you can make your battery last 16 hours :-) Cyanogenmod 9 is faster come with an equalizer and etc to the point that it will make this phone the best phone you ever had plus over clocking even better performance! :-) This is the best phone :-) if you don't know what Cyanogenmod 9 is research it :-) Your phone would have to be rooted though :-)

In my opinion it's the best Phone out there! Becuase of all the things you can do on it that you can't do on ios or android 2.3/3. 2! And the web surfing speed is insanely fast + the gr8 video experience! If you campare the battery with 4S so is the difference not so big and ifrån you turn of 4G/LTE the battery gets better then 4S! But god video thogh :-)

If you go on to say the color is just bland and not vibrant enough. All people hear is "The phone is bland and not vibrant enough" Something that I would point out that I don't like about the phone is the people app is not integrated with facebook. Only Google+ which no ones uses.

I really like my Galaxy Nexus. The camera is decent for photos. Anyone who says it's not that good is just picky... Very picky. Speaker is ok, yeah it's not that loud but the headphones sound great. I don't know why Black Prince is saying the headphones suck when they are awesome. The battery is trash. The only thing that sucks is the battery. But I am always near power to plug it in.

Just want to know, which headphones have you tested the phone with? And I agree with you about battery life when the screen is turned on - it simply unacceptable. I'm hoping its a software thing and Google can fix it but I really feel sorry for those with the LTE version.

Good video, I really wanted this phone. I read a lot of reviews and I believe this is not the phone for me. I will keep my Tmobile G2 for now and consider the Tmobile Galaxy 2 when the ICS update comes out sometimes next year. I am stol happy with my Tmobile G2 :-)

manufacturers should really put more effort into better quality sound. my headphones sound horrid when i'm plugged into all my android devices. my sister's iPhone on the other hand, sounds great. poweramp is a good app that might make a difference in audio.

They charge you $700 bucks just for ICS.. The hardware and build of the phone is only worth about 400 or maybe less.. a GS2 or GSNote is worth the 600$ or more.. because the hardware and software don't disappoint .. and paying VZW almost $3,500 a year isn't worth it either.. when the new Galaxy S 3 comes out early next year which samsung is going to outdo the nexus by far.

1750mah is too small for that big hd screen when my GS2 has 1850. Of course there is occasional lag. Androids do a lot more than widget-free & closed source iOS. iOS is just an app-launcher. There's no excuse for a poor sensor in any high-end device these days.

They're charging way too much for this phone. I went and looked at one at Verizon. When I lifted it up the security cable tore the back cover right off. Samsung is charging the high price taking advantage of ICS hype. It's not worth half what they're asking.

@BlackPrince310 I also used the galaxy nexus and there is definitely lag present. Try going to android market and scrolling the top apps list to see how laggy it is. Also, try moving the home screen panels left right fast to see the lag. It's incorrect to say ics 4.0 doesn't have lag.
