To be honest, in my opinion one of the things that make Metallica's more modern albums feel way too different is the sound of the guitars. If they were to go back to a Master of Puppets-like sound, would they once again begin making kickass music?

@iwantoutnow everyone has their own opinion...but if you honestly take the time to listen to death magnetic a couple times start to finish and you DON'T like it...then you wasn't a real fan...u say "after the black album they were shitty"...I agree load/reload wasn't that good...st anger was horrible...but death magnetic is back to the old metallica even down to the metallica logo...first time they have had the old logo since the black album...DM sounds similar to puppets/justice...listen to it

To be honest, in my opinion one of the things that make Metallica's more modern albums feel way too different is the sound of the guitars. If they were to go back to a Master of Puppets-like sound, would they once again begin making kickass music?

@yadrition Death Magnetic did not sell 7.5 million, it sold 2 million by june 2010, wikipedia + i knew that already, Every sane metallica fan admits Endgame is far far better, but death magnetic was a good effort, the reason it is no 1 is sales and the reason it sold 2 million is because its metallica, they are more succesful than megadeth and known more so naturally they will sell more whether good or bad, but there is NO way that its better than endgame or even united abominations.

@MEGADETHTHRETH no no thats fiction, wikipedia isnt always true e.g. they say that iron maiden sold over 100 million records when it was actually 75m. that isnt true, metallica recently hit the 100m mark because in 2002 before st anger came out it was 90m when released anger sold 2m and increased by 500000. they were still not 100m mark, it was reached in 2009 when inducted to hall of fame and death magnetic sold 7.5m . what u said is fiction i swear megadeth fans know nothing.

when people compare metallica to megadeth there is only 1 thing i can say master of puppets got me into metallica... the system has failed got me into megadeth... i'm only 19 and i learnt about megadeth through being a fan of metallica... and its a huge let down that a album like this can hit number 1 shows that the music means fucking nothing these days... COB bloodrunk hammers death magnetic into the ground totally different genre but still i doubt that even made the top 200...
