His book/diaries are suspicious to me. If he was as messed up as he says he was....how could he remember any of it or have been able to write in a journal at the time? I mean, Ozzy doesn't remember whole years of his life. How was Nikki able to chronicle everything so completely in the state he suposedly was in? Either he was never as messed up as he says he was, or his "diaries" have been written/edited/added to later on before publishing. Either way it's garbage.

Nikki is the best! he is the first author/musician to bring awareness to opiate addiction. The number of people in this boat will never be fully known. I do know this is a major epidemic. It kills with no discrimination whatsoever. The album, the book... it must be something important, because I have never liked Mötley Crüe since I was 13 and The Dirt made me really hate that group, but then Heroin Diaries showed the intelligent, hurt and sensitive side of Nikki Sixx and I'm a fan now. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE!
If it wasn't for reading his book, I'd probably would have died before i turned 18 a few months ago. Nikki's book inspired me to quit doing pot, heroin, coke, and anything else i could find and clean up and go to college.
i use to abuse pills, like snort them and shit, Nikki Sixx gave me ALOT of faith to quit when i read that book.
Now months later im still struggling with pills but not as bad as i was with them, and i know that within a month or two im going to be off them altogether.
I've never been addicted to anything stronger than coffee, but I've known, and known of, some serious addicts.
I'm just over 80 pages into the book (started it two days ago) and it's convinced me to stay off alcohol, heroin and cocaine FOREVER already. The strongest thing I've ever had a continuous addiction to is caffeine, and I'm not going to think about messing with anything stronger.

I finished the book two days after I got it xD lmfao(I'm a book worm -_-'') I almost died of laughter at one of the entries (too embarassing to say xD lol)... but there were parts where you really got the perpective of a junkie (like one of the entries where he wrote right after he shot up)It's a really good read. If parents and teacher want to prevent kids from taking drugs, throw away those gay drug films and make them read The Heroin Diaries, it scared me into not doing drugs *shivers*

If my principal wants to talk with me about it I will tell her to read it. I think someone should give the principal a copy. The point of the book is to stay *off* stuff like heroin and cocaine; once that point is understood, the book is a huge help and wake-up call.

anyone who does heroine after reading this book, needs help beyond the means of anything. this book doesn't glorify heroine or addiction. if anything it makes you feel like an open sore and as you read each page it feels like salt is being poured into the open sore. it never in you life makes you want to do anything addicting, be it drugs, smoking, booze or hell even over eat.

When I was 15, I was a huge Crue/Sixx fan, still am, I carried The Dirt with me everywhere and that alone, Sixx talking about his Hells, made me not only further dislike the idea of drugs, but swear never to be involved or associate with anything that could drag me into that lifestyle. At 20, I read Heroine Diaries and still feel that way if not more. He's warning people what can happen and it's NOT pretty, not glorifying a damn thing.

i swear i read the book in less than a day...it fucking tore me up i loved it. my album is in the post i refuse to download it because i want a copy for myself.
This whole project is absolute genius... Nikki has captured perfectly what so many have tried to explain for years... I've not stopped listening to the album since I bought it the day it came out, cannot wait for the book, and cannot be more proud of Nikki, Ashba, and James for doing this.... I hope a movie comes from it someday and soon!

The album, the book... it must be something important, because I have never liked Mötley Crüe since I was 13 and The Dirt made me really hate that group, but then Heroin Diaries showed the intelligent, hurt and sensitive side of Nikki Sixx and I'm a fan now. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE!

If it wasn't for reading his book, I'd probably would have died before i turned 18 a few months ago. Nikki's book inspired me to quit doing pot, heroin, coke, and anything else i could find and clean up and go to college.
And now, my life couldn't be better.

the book was a wake-up call to me.
i use to abuse pills, like snort them and shit, Nikki Sixx gave me ALOT of faith to quit when i read that book.
Now months later im still struggling with pills but not as bad as i was with them, and i know that within a month or two im going to be off them altogether.

I've never been addicted to anything stronger than coffee, but I've known, and known of, some serious addicts.
I'm just over 80 pages into the book (started it two days ago) and it's convinced me to stay off alcohol, heroin and cocaine FOREVER already. The strongest thing I've ever had a continuous addiction to is caffeine, and I'm not going to think about messing with anything stronger.

ur nvr too late =] i bought it last sunday nd finished today (two resons 1. im a slow reader 2. i dont have much time to read). the entry of december 23, 1987 made me cry. nd the ending nikki wrote changed my life. this book is VERY good. is not like... tom sawyer and all that shit (lol), u learn a lot. nd much better than going to school haha.

I finished the book two days after I got it xD lmfao(I'm a book worm -_-'') I almost died of laughter at one of the entries (too embarassing to say xD lol)... but there were parts where you really got the perpective of a junkie (like one of the entries where he wrote right after he shot up)It's a really good read. If parents and teacher want to prevent kids from taking drugs, throw away those gay drug films and make them read The Heroin Diaries, it scared me into not doing drugs *shivers*

I know. They should make children read it. Besides, it's a really fun and funny book (I laughed too in some entries and comments). I'm 13, I read it. So what? I'm pretty sure if my school's principal knew I was reading it she would give me a detention or suspention. Which really doesn't make sense...

I have a project and I'm gonna include that's my favorite book, I don't care if I get in problems. I come from a different place and I already know all that bad stuff xD Yea like I was dumb! If my principal wants to talk with me about it I will tell her to read it. If they ever make a big thing about it, I will tell them that it's not the bad things that I'm reflecting at, it's the end of the book.

I think someone should give the principal a copy. The point of the book is to stay *off* stuff like heroin and cocaine; once that point is understood, the book is a huge help and wake-up call.
Like the bail bonds commercial says, "Better to know me and not need me, than to need me and not know me", right?

i wouldnt mind his book if it actually helped someone, all hes doing is making heroin seem like the next best drug and makin money cause he thinks people wanna kno wat its like to do heroin, all hes doing is glorifying heroin, when my gf was 15 she was a die hard motley fan, to the point where she wanted to do everything they did, including shootin up heroin, and im sure shes not the only one.

anyone who does heroine after reading this book, needs help beyond the means of anything. this book doesn't glorify heroine or addiction. if anything it makes you feel like an open sore and as you read each page it feels like salt is being poured into the open sore. it never in you life makes you want to do anything addicting, be it drugs, smoking, booze or hell even over eat.

What nonsense. It doesn't glorify anything. When I was 15, I was a huge Crue/Sixx fan, still am, I carried The Dirt with me everywhere and that alone, Sixx talking about his Hells, made me not only further dislike the idea of drugs, but swear never to be involved or associate with anything that could drag me into that lifestyle. At 20, I read Heroine Diaries and still feel that way if not more. He's warning people what can happen and it's NOT pretty, not glorifying a damn thing.

herion is probably much more addicting though but still....
he's been in and out of prison and jail since i was in sixth grade (im in tenth now)
he's in jail once again.... i honestly don't think it's going to be his last time though...

This whole project is absolute genius... Nikki has captured perfectly what so many have tried to explain for years... I've not stopped listening to the album since I bought it the day it came out, cannot wait for the book, and cannot be more proud of Nikki, Ashba, and James for doing this.... I hope a movie comes from it someday and soon!
