BY-DEFINITION anyone , anywhere , in any country , that spends ALL DAY DOING A JOB . Should be able to walk away at the end of the day -- with enough to show for his/her efforts TO PAY HIS / HER WAY . In my job , I don't want more than I'm worth BUT damn it - if somebody NEEDS somebody to DO a job all day long -- than it should BE Worth "A DAY'S PAY" WOW how about THAT THINKING by-definition IT IS IN managements hands A days pay for a days work for a day of consumerism
LIER ... ok yes , manufacturing of other countries is cheaper for the company owners. But We the people , the American 'cash cow' WE don't get the price brake .... the business owners do. The products WE buy could be made by UNION employees , With a profit to company owners , & still be at same prices at store. Until HE died & his kids took over Wal-mart did ok by US. His kids are fucking US hard though. & also Wally didn't do ANY neighboring small B any G.anyway RAMBLE RAMBLE RAM

P5 tax breaks..If you've been in this country (supporting it, fighting wars for it, & general maintaining this country) for the last generation or two--then the corrupt politicians know they cannot buy your vote; SO THEY outsource for new voters--by giving,advertised for, New immigrants, THE TAX Breaks.....they didn't give MY GrandPA any help.
P4 AWAKE !!! OH course these days , there is NO FUN OF ANY KIND because there is no jobs , no unemployment $ (due to Government SCAMS) NO Wife bye bye, no house .....just "NO" . PLUS , Yes I too have couple of "maybe I can do THIS" Let's see ...oh yes , if I want to have small business of say gas / food store. If you're imported from another country YOU get all the tax breaks...
P 3 All I know is "I Want To Work" I prefer new construction BUT I have NO problem working in, oh say a car or (HA-HA) TV manufacturing plant, doing electrical maintenance. OH , that's right , I have a BIG Problem doing THAT......all those factories have gone to different countries. I am a Union electrician & love doing my job; I consider it fun. Not fun like bowling, taking wife to dinner &/or water-skying -- But fun in the sense of accomplishment & keeps my mind & body actively AWAKE !
P 2 Seems to me it'd be nice to have a job..right NOW---not only am I UNEMPLOYED, But FL claims last year that I was working in the wrong quarter so there fore denied compensation. I sure thought I worked all year, except for a week here & there. Before that excuse they told me that some employer had me down with a different identity! Everyone I know from Construction jobs, that are NOW unemployed (even those with computer skills) CANNOT figure out HOW to file for NEW FL unemployment

Not every American is smart & ambitious enough to have the "top tier" jobs. Also, good 'regular' jobs to get that investment nut to put towards that great American idea in my back pocket. NOW I must mention that from my vantage point, American service - sucks...BAD!!! More & more , yearly, the people on phone centers, Doctors offices, - INSURANCE - auto mechanics, ARE NOT Doing what they claim. P 1
This guy does a great job of pointing out the cause of outsourcing. Not the greed of the 1 percent (or at the least, no just the 1 percent), but the greed of the 99 percent. And there's nothing wrong with that. The economy gave Americans two choices, continue dominating manufacturing, or compete for top tier jobs. I think we made the right decision by becoming a service oriented economy.
@Charlie12241...AND have legal documentation as to Legal identity BUT it is a lie..... These job sites after being pressured THE Truth comes out. They (the outsourced construction workers) are illegal immigrants & NOT paying taxes & when HURT or sick GET ALL the benefits the American systems can READILY provide....same services that I can't get anywhere near
@Charlie12241 NO , seems to me , one way or other Everything kinda gets OUTsourced. More & more on my Construction jobs (usually Mexicans -- who can be good hard workers) workers are imported , given the jobs at 1/2 rates & NO insurance AND Do not have to go by OSHA safety standards.....THEY (Those in charge ) will SAY everybody is OSHA trained & Practiced..

You claim that a $42 pair of pants from Asia would cost $184 if manufactured in the U.S.A.
Where is your data to support this? Do you have actual accounting of the complete costs(i.e. energy, materials, logistics, etc.)?
