Was 5 years old when this album came out... my mum had it. I must have been a weird child listening to Al Stewart, Amory Kane, Leonard Cohen and Argents classic track “Dance In The Smoke”... Still got it somewhere... nothing to play it on now tho....
OMG...haven't heard these songs in decades. My old FLOCK LP got tossed out along with all of my albums from my "Hippie Daze". I remember my mom looked at the cover and immediately noticed the band member in the foreground passing a joint to the guy standing next to him.
I think only three other people that I have known since 1969 have ever heard of this band.(along with Savoy Brown) .Underground Hartford, CT brought them to my attention... still have the LP somewhere in the attic!
You think this is amazing - check out curved air - vivaldi - violin was awesome in the 70s, this is a seminal piece of music of me, takes me back to a less complicated life
I got this album as part of a swap deal on a Gibson jumbo acoustic guitar, along with "Nice Enough To Eat", "Gun" and many others. Still wish I had the guitar, but I had so many at that time, one less made space for more albums. I'm sure "Fill Your Head", was a double sampler. I'm sure I lost the second album.......maybe just my ageing marbles!!!
@prideparkheroes I remember fill your head with rock, what a fab album, remember taj mahal and jefferson airplane, they mapped my teenage years. nothing better now, sitting hear listening to flock and tired of waiting - but listen to curved air and vivaldi - amazing.
I remember the album, cause it was collored like Orange or Purple, can't remember exactly what collor, but I realy liked the music and still do. Nice trip down Memory Lane.... thanks for sharing.
i had this album when it came out, got it in melb as an import and it was covetted until it was flogged, but always remember the music, no one does elect violin any more except folk, and this was not that, a different time and another planet...

This song was on a one-disc CBS compilation named "Underground'70".
I bought mine in west germany during my military service.
A very recognizable record because its purple vinyle and a lot of
good tracks inside (Spirit, Chicago Transit A., Moby Grape,
Chamber Brothers, etc).
I still listen to it on my vintage Technics SL 23 record player.
