hey can someone help me PLZ! i am on a different comp thant the one with the problem but i need some help ASAP i just downloaded this thing with a vid that says it needs to have to play it and my avg goes crazy saying threat detected and trojan detected. now everytime i open internet explorer, it takes forever to open and when i click a search result link it brings me to a different site with other bad stuff on it. SOMEONE HELP ASAP

You got a ZLOB downloader from that codec. I have seen this many times before. ZLOBS are a pain to remove. Search on YouTube how to remove it and you will be able to get rid of it.

the fastest real scan i've ever seen was when I used microsdoft security essentials
on the quick scan function, it didn't find anything.

you can tell its fake because no Antivirus could scan that fast and find anything.
and real programs arent so Insistant that you use thier software.

yeah try firefox, from firefox..
try going on malwarebyets website and try download malwarebyets anti-malware. if you cant then u need to check ur host file.
