How can you pull off the start of this move if the guy is trying to get his posture and pulls his elbows back once you open your legs? I can see how a lot of moves can work once you get your grips. The initial part just seems hard to pull off, at least for me, especially with these grips. Once you got them off balance and have your I can see how the moves can be pulled off. I have this problem with many moves. Anyways, I love the vids.
@bootyluva (random note: I really have to make a video talking about the stages of live rolling/competing and mindset of it as well). Ok, everything is counterable. If the opponent knows I'm going for this then it won't work but. With proper timing everything works. If your timing is off, you don't get it. This applies to anything. BJJ is very dynamic, and this is just a small picture. It is up to you to set it up well, etc..I can talk about those things maybe in another video.
@jasculs Thanks for the response. That would be awesome if you make a video about it. I wish there were more videos about concepts, set ups and the "stuff" between the moves and techniques. There seems to be so many videos on techniques and so few on how to make techiques work and strategy.
@bootyluva That is what makes things work and what keeps them from working. You're timing, your knowledge of your opponents actions, and your opponents knowledge if his and your actions. If he doesn't give me an opening, then I don't do it. I do something else, however if I get my grips and foot placement at the right time then I'm in the clear. I have hit these movements in live rolling against resisting opponents on every belt level from white to black belt.
@m1xedmart1alarts haha...I've been getting a lot of guard requests...I'll be posting a lot more form the top, escaping, takedowns, etc... So much to show!

The last part is somewhat like a flower sweep right?

Would the arm bar (by throwing the left leg over the head while tilted) be a good option there as well? Or would that mean giving up the pant grip?
