Yes! I use only guitar rig 3.

I plug in the guitar into my pc with my line 6 toneport gx and then i use guitar rig 3 for effects and recording (there are two tapedecks on guitar rig that you can use to record: you have to put the background music [such as byob in this case] on the tapedeck one and then you have to record in the tapedeck two)
