  • Hybrid is not a bad idea, but at least Chevy could put the original Tahoe's body kit on it instead of this nasty one.

  • how much money in gas does it waste

  • WTF, all of that tech and combined systems and you get 20/20. Fail.

  • @Sardonick007 That is for the 4WD... the rear wheel drive model gets 20/23.

  • or instead of hybrid just make it diesel

  • i think that when im testing out the driving slow for the electric engine i will do it when people are behind so that they become infuriated

  • chevy is cool

  • Да! Действительно КЛАСНАЯ тачка! Я куплю себе такую через месяц! Вот увидите!

  • i so want one

  • вещ!

  • #1 question asked when test driving at the dealer: Is it on? it's very impressive piece of technology. it could have been better at HP but it's a first gen system so there's no much choice. But that does not mean you have to pay a hefty sum for it., that's why buying a CPO Hybrid is better than new.

  • wow what's it like driving in 4 cylinder mode?

  • @CoolLarkin it just takes 4 cylinders power away and you only need 4 at speed. all cars will only use between 10 and 60hp just being gentle on the gas

  • @bigM10231 so you can use 4 cylinders say, cruising on the highway? is it better fuel economy?

  • @CoolLarkin yes and yes

  • Wow, does this thing have a CVT transmission? My Altima did but it didnt shift like this Tahoe did. It's amazing, it shifts once than keeps the revs at about 4600RPMS, it kinda cool, and pretty fast for a mountain.

  • i honestly dont get how these transmissions work!!!!!

  • Considering the size, weight, and aerodynamics of the vehicle, that is pretty good.

  • You are absolutely right. Big vehicles going hybrid is hugely important. I was just about to scoff too.

  • Thanks, Baja! I look at it as first-generation tech. Within a couple of years, the MPG #s should rise considerably. How long until we see 40 MPG city in an 8-passenger vehicle?

  • First view, first comment!! Now back to adulthood. You really obtained great mileage on that thing!! People may scoff at this technology in such a large vehicles. But in reality it makes sense to start w/ the most fuel thirsty rigs, well it did when that was all they sold! Seattle (king county) was the first to purchase the Hybrid buses from GM here in town. Saves a lot I bet!!
