As far as i know, there is an english version of this song aswell, that someone claimed to be the original.

However! I find it much more likely that a swedish band made an english version of their song to get known internationally, than an english band trying to make it big in sweden :S

And as far as i know, Popotan was the first anime to be coupled with it.
