  • Quality vid. What speed were you guys averaging? I'm heading out right now to ride this trail for the first time, but the south section.

  • @blastofo On our rides I allow one hour for every 10 miles we ride. It usually works out with all the stops we make. If your looking to go south the Rio Hondo and LA river trails are a bit nicer. The San Gabriel has some narrow dark tunnels. Check out the "Road Cycling in California - Whittier to Long Beach - Bike Trail Loop"

  • hahah Fernando is not giving a shit,, he just wants to lose wight

  • If you're ever in Ohio just lemme know...would love to go for a ride

  • This trail has construction going on right now, to fix the cracks by Dufree and Rosemead.

  • @AutodromoF1 Thanks for the heads up, we rode the detour yesterday (12/31/2011). See our newest video "Road Cycling in California - YouTube on YouTube" for the detour map if you needed it.

  • nice!are you guys a filipino cycling group?

  • @puffycheeks100 Were just a group of friends, no particular grouping.

  • Nice footage. Did you stabilize the picture with any software? Whenever i shoot with my gopro on my bike its unbelievably shaky.

  • @MrMike8300 If the road is bumpy or the arm extensions are too long I'll get camera shake. Try the roll bar mount attached directly to the camera case mounted on the stem. I don't use software to stabilize the picture, but that may be a soloution.

  • Looks amazing place to ride

  • i start from encanto park south the san gabriel river onto the rio hondo north to peck rd park then I make a u-turn I don't cut across arrow hwy or lower azusa I go back the same way I came from, petty sweet trail

  • Can some one help me for some reason my tires all ways getting poped ?

  • @MrMister1227 You may want to have some liners put in your tires to prevent flats from glass and thorns. Also if your air pressure is too low you will get a pinch flat when you hit a bump, rock, pothole etc. Hope this helps.

  • @sgsgent where can i get this ''liners''??? you speak of?

  • @MrMister1227 Performance Bike sells Mr. Tuffy tire liners for about $20.

  • @sgsgent Thanx for shearing your knowledge

i think im going to buy since i have to keep buying new inner tubes like ones every 2 weeks

dose it work even against glass??

  • @MrMister1227 It helps but is not %100. Continental Gatorskins will help too. Amazon has some good reviews on these products.

  • @MrMister1227 Kevlar Tires...Had 11 last year, only 2 this year

  • i take this exact route sometimes! how often do you guys ride? i don't have a very big group of friends that ride, and would like to ride with other people one of these days.

  • I agree with IRONTROZ. You are so lucky to have that long - distance bicycle track at your disposal. I live in Texas, and the roads are crap here. Most Texans think a bicycle is a toy. Hence the backward attitudes toward cycling. I'm not even a native of Texas.

  • nice bike trail.

  • Wow, your so lucky to have such great cycle lanes. Roads here in AUCKLAND NZ are Crap!

  • Another wonderful video ....

  • I love this because I ride the San Gabriel River Bike Path from Azusa Canyon to Seal Beach, and back up to the top every weekend! Its my dad, my sister, and I - we have been doing this for years and love it!!

  • You are literally, tearin' the tires. Haha :) I want those smooth nicely elevated roads in Canada. Too much hills here!

  • I wonder what you guys wear, when it actually rains :-) (based on first 2 min)

  • Glad I found this. The only San Gabriel I know of is the one that goes to Seal Beach

  • I like the music selection on this one. What are both songs used in this video? What shifters and wheels are you using (currently)?

  • @if7084 The first song is "Electronic 80s Dance Instrumental music" and the second is "Sweatin" both by Pro. Zonic Zynth. Soleilfreak is his YouTube name. Currently I'm using Durace Shifters with Reynolds MV32C wheels on my Motobecane. My Fuji is using SRAM Apex Shifters with Vuelta Corsa Carbon 50 wheels. Thanks for your interest.

  • No, it's not impossible to get lost, you can take a wrong turn. See video at 1:24, 1:59, 4:12, 4:18, 4:28 min.

  • Sounds good. I'm just scared I'm going to get lost but I guess it's near impossible right?

  • I was having a hard time figuring out if you guys started off going north or south?

  • @rickyslam We started the ride going south from Peck Rd Park. Make a right at the trail T and exit on San Gabriel Blvd, then cross Rosmead and re-enter the trail at the South East corner of Rosmead and San Gabriel Blvd. There is a map link if you expand the information window. Thanks for your interest!

  • At the end of video, my mind's thinking. "What a ride. I wanna go do it again" Looks like a great workout type of ride. agree?

  • Nice smooth roads.

I would bike through there at night.

  • Nice video. Great looking bike lanes.

  • Cool vid, thanks

  • I can''t believe, is it a bike lane? I though you guys were on an ordinary road. Cool!
