  • Its a miracle the frenchy didnt knock the whole building down

  • @catman517 And what exactly is your problem with people who speak french? All thow I'm from Quebec and I speak french, I'm Polish. Sorry, but you're totally wrong

  • I'd say that's tight!

  • This is why truckers hate dispatchers.

  • @Evilmike42 And buildings designed to take pup trailers and day vans.

  • Looks like a place I used go to in LA. Had to back from a narrow alley like this but the dock was on the other wall. So it was a good side back in to get in the gate but then you had to blind side it into the dock.

  • Comment removed

  • that's not too hard.. I used to deliver container to the loading deck with flap that had 20cm each side room at the end of drive way like that.. the driver in the video is inexperienced.

  • you call that challenging? you should try it with a 3 xles trailler.

  • What are those arquitects thinking when they build a company on a road so tight, or the bosses of the copmanyes??? Aren't they thinking at the drivers which will load or unload there??? Any way nice parking man!!!

  • @auwuwrass I agree, nice job indeed. You gotta remember that when many of these old buildings were constructed they didn't know that trucks would someday be 70 feet long.

  • This dock was made for trucks from the 30s

  • bueno amigo

  • Kick-ass job driver. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most difficult) this maneuver looks to be at least a 9.

  • I have two million miles safe driving, been there done that. You did everything right. I'm impressed, and I don't impress easly.

  • Good job backing. I was a rookie driver back in 2003 and I had to do the same thing in Boston, MA. with no spotter and it sucked. The only difference for me was that instead of straightening out, my truck HAD to be 90 degrees to the trailer when docked. Because the end of the alley was also the only driveway to several business entrances. I had to leave room for vehicles to drive pass. It took me several tries but finally got it in.

  • Widziałem kiedyś ten filmiki nie miałem pojecia, że jesteśmy rodakami. Miła niespodzianka! :D

  • Ügyes!

  • @Zotya08 ugye? ...szerintem is :S

  • buddy, I've been in my share of tight backing up spots. you have more kahones than me that's for damn sure

  • nice job

  • فوتشوب خخخخخخ بلا ياشباب ترجمو كلمة فوتوشوب عشان الامريكان بفهموا ايش قصدي ههههههههههههه

  • Ei menny ykkösellä :/

  • i have been to such place and worse. some places have had me park my truck with a sleeper and it took me 2 hours then when finished someone comes and says your the only person to come here with a sleeper and manage to get into the dock. i could have murdered them when they told me that.

  • fuck that. get a fork lift and 10 mexicans and get your shit off my truck in the alley.

  • @AXPperdueKU I couldn't agree w/ you more! Then as he's blocking the street, you will get some asshole trying to get through and expect you to move. Worst yet, you might get a cop that will tell you, 'hey, you're blocking the street, I'm gonnna have to give you a citation.~

  • It kinda makes me glad I'm a flatbed driver! :-) Nice maneuvering!!!

  • The man new what he was doing!!

    Great job,driver!!

  • like a boss

  • ale cienias,co tu pokazywać?jak sie mota?

  • Damn

  • Ive been there it was built when they used cab overs and 48' trls driver did great

  • Ive been there it was built when they used cab overs and 48' trls

  • Sorry I have seen tighter.

  • Cincinnati looks like a bombed out area of Afghanistan

  • @undeadpharoah no dude we are good here :D

  • @undeadpharoah ha or detroit

  • @undeadpharoah thats what 30+ years of america the great melting pot will do to ya.

  • @undeadpharoah actually no it doesnt i live in norwood ohio and cincinnati is probably richer than where you live.

  • @flaberdoodle00 baahaha typical ignorant american comment lol

  • Driver is like .... It was nothing

  • green light saber oyea

  • Good job, driver. It could have been worse; nighttime, raining, traffic wanting to get thru, but still very good job. Reminds me of Sheltered Workshop off Allegheny Ave in Phillie.

  • At least it was a roadside (sightside) dock. If it was curbside (blindside) it would be much harder because you can't even see the dock that you are backing into. I had one like that in NYC once and to top that off it had those ramps that raise the rear of 10 wheelers that I had to miss with my trailer wheels. I couldn't even get out of the drivers side door because it was up against a chainlink fence, it was a good thing that I folded in the mirror.

  • @rond361 Yeah and they make a big deal about the ice roads drivers on TV.In my 17yrs driving. The American eastern seaboard city driving is the hairyest. The true test of a driver skill and sanity.LOL

  • I have a newfound respect for truck drivers after seeing videos like these!

  • Wow, you literally gotta use every inch. Nice job

  • omg... and my ex girfrend couldn't park her ford ka in a 2 car garage...

  • What an absurd backing. Why cant these business afford a little space for deliveries? I did a crazy blindside back for Home Depot in Deerfield Florida that required me to follow a minimum wage ground guide that danced like Michael Jackson into a hole too small for my compact car. Want deliveries? GET A LITTLE SPACE!!!!!!!

  • Good job!

  • hey fuck you spellin nazis if God had inendent me to be smart he woulda gived me a brain.i get tried of all youre you forgot your comma or your apstrophy i bet your smart but uglyer than my dick.

  • no body can get trough now...this idiot VTL is blocking the whole town...

  • @usivio980

The delivery driver owns the business? You can prove this in a court of law? The business has no space for pick ups or deliveries, yet the business makes orders regardless. If you want someone to sue stop listening to spoiled little trust fund democrats and take notice of just who it is that causes the problem. One of your sacred Home Depots in Deerfield Florida has a much more dangerous loading area that jams traffic up for over 400,000,000,000 times longer on a good day.

  • no bums were hurt during the making of this video....

  • ow damn ass , i want sleep

  • Good job

  • YEAH! I'd be sweating bullets.

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • fuck that shit...if i was an owner operator..backing up like that..having to back up on a bit of a curb like that..i would be pissed..puts a lot of strain on your 5th wheel. nothing i hate worse then backing upto something that is layed out so god danm stupid.obviously wasnt designed by truckers...great job. you have more paitents then i do sir. lol

  • I'm gonna be driving one of those some day not far from now!

  • how's my mirror? am i gonna snap it Off?

  • Why do you have a 53 footer in the city?

  • @johnnnyreb51 that is the only size trailers must trucking company's have now a days. the driver had no choice i don't know of any long haul freight company's that even uses any shorter trailers like a 48 footer anymore .

  • That's a tight one for sure, places like that shouldn't be having 53' trailers with sleeper cabs coming in. I can only imagine the fun of the roads leading into the place/alley

  • Good Job anyone that drives A truck know that A pretty tricky dock to get in

  • Good Job! Great set up!

  • He's not a rookie, that's for damn sure.

  • Thumbs up for very nice Volvo! :)

  • Mad skills right here shit period:)

  • Good job.... I used to pick up daily at JI Case in St.Paul, the dock was inside made for pups and maybe a 38 footer. The US Mail 48 footer with a White cab over would line up the dock then shove the trailer to a 90 degree using the dock as a pivot. He did this daily, wish I have a video of that.

  • My name is super dave "trucker" osborne. Props man that's how its done!

  • Very nice job. I'm in cdl school right now, and I'm terrified that I'll get in a situation like this while I'm still green.

  • the best backing up,I have every seen.

  • i HATE BACKING INTO PLACES LIKE THAT........YOU KIND OF NEED A SINGLE AXLE DAY CAB OR STRAIGHT TRUCK

  • Try doing the tight squeeze places in NY , where you must use the wrong side of the road , on a winding mountain road (used by cars & trucks) , to back up , right where there is a sharp & wide curve in the road , where nobody can see you until they reach the edge of the bend. The very worst are the places with a portable ramp , where the tractor must come to rest at 90 degress to the trailer to fit to the dockplate at night , in a darkened alley with a dropping downgrade to the dock.

  • @fthrcast i would say fuck NY, let them go and get their shit. I hope those drivers are paid good for that kind of rape, otherwise no fucking way. Im not a superman to fuck with that kind of shit, to wake up for those assholes at 3 AM

  • Not to mention , you are fully loaded with auto brake drums & shoes , there is but 1 spot on the street where you can sit until the doors open in Chicago. If you are late , traffic will be beeping at you , squeezing to you , and complaining if you miss once. There are also worse.

  • That was nothing. Try backing up a 53' trailer in Chicago , on a two lane street with parking on both sides as well - meanwhile the doors give you about 6-10" on each open door , and then you have to back the trailer down about 30 or so feet so that the tractor front bumper is even with the sidewalk. All this you must do precisely at 7:30am , as oncoming traffic & overnight parkers will be on your butt on both sides if you miss once. Finishing with a few inches on each mirror in the doorway.

  • A fine example of how to put a 53' in a 45' hole

  • That's a grand piece of driving. looking at it, it seems like you have to get the trailer smack on first go before backing it in

  • You did a good job man, dont listen this bunch of idiots.

  • Ohio is a dump and a chithole.

  • You're right! Patience is the key. I watched a 4 year driver back a 53 foot trailer into a very similar dock on Long Island. She made about a dozen attempts, but squared that trailer to the dock perfectly with the hood of her International a few feet from the opposite side of the yard. Good driver out of Georgia, switched careers when she lost her job. I may be the same way soon. Nice to see good folks doing it right. Stay safe out there.

  • Vachon Transport Lteé vive les québécois...!!!!!

  • You shouldn't have had to pull up

  • That's what you call an alley dock in a real alley...

  • way to go, baby!

  • It's very tight!

I've done worse than that one!

  • Cincinnati! my city! :D

  • God that was tight parking, you used all the road well there just to get it close was good driving.

  • Wow!

  • @IBreathalot XD

  • I feel for the driver. What kind of company would establish a shipping/receiving dock in that exact spot...not factoring in that the dock was built back when the longest trailer on the road was 48 feet and most city docks were built for 28 footers. This guy is fighting a 53 foot trailer. The fact that he got in there is cool enough. And the moron four-wheelers refuse to accept that a professional Class 'A' position should be classified as skilled labor. Okay, I'm done.

  • bravo bravo superr

  • Kudos to the driver!! Excellent job!!!

  • Finally no "Chuck Norris" Jokes for once!!

  • Jamaica, Queens!! One way street, 3 telephone poles, 6 dumpsters, an old Caddy and a straight job,not straight at a 3 door dock! The mirrors were 4 inches from the no parking sign when I bumped the dock! I had to get out the shotgun side. All that in only 68 back ups! :-) Good job driver. Like I always say," drive that truck, you wanted this job"!

  • @wjanisheck yes mate, well done. we have streets in england that were built for horse and carriage, still in use today with artics. its a universal truck drivers unspoken language that states we can shrink our trucks to suit the gap when we have to!!!

  • Good N Tight!!

  • I had a place about that tight in brooklyn Ny but the damn cab drivers kept racing by on the right (up on the sidewalk)

  • Nolibab3,

Great driving! And you're right: many scrapes are totally avoidable when using patience.

  • Nice

  • The job for a volvo!

  • I've been on the road since 1974. This is one of the worst places to put a truck I've ever seen!

  • omg if i ever have to back up in a tight spot like this i will be pissed and then on top of that they told him he was in the wrong dock omg i wouldve went mayham on them bois

  • nice driving, shame u forgot to open your doors

  • nice drivin

  • Truck drivers can out drive and out park anyone

  • вот это прикол !

  • He checked before he completed the manoever, didn't freak out, didn't complain and most importantly, didn't hit anything! Good job.

  • NIIIIIIIICE!

  • ok now that he is in the dock the dock forman comes out and tells him he is in the wrong dock he as to move it down to the next one. lol seriously very good job driver!!

  • Need any Dutch truckers???

  • Need any Dutch truckers???

  • Good job.

  • What´s the problem??? Now i understand why they are looking for swedish truckers in USA

  • @Outrage69

Actually, US law says US companies can only hire foreign workers if they have no viable US citizen job candidates. Now, ask yourself why they can't get US citizens to work for them? Sub-standard wages/benefits? Lousy equipment? Treat their drivers like crap?

There is no "driver shortage" in the US. Only a shortage of drivers willing to work for these companies. But, you come on over here and go to work. I'm sure the one you choose will be a great company...good luck

  • @Outrage69 u see that in an ad or something, SWEDISH DRIVERS ONLY, nobody else may apply but Sweden drivers cause we need them plz Swedish drivers plz apply we need you. LOL, idiot!

  • at 3:00 "special thanks to AnnaL camerman"

  • Good driver. GOAL!

  • cake

  • Good Job! :-)

  • Better off with a cab over, makes work a lot easier!

  • @jaliscomafiakrew yeah then the ride is bumpy as fuck because you are sitting over the front wheels, but it's a better idea.

  • thats awesome man. blind side or not thats hard shit.

  • are you fucking kidding me? good god almighty! i think i shed a tear, that was beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • Notice the PQ plate.... The US Billy Big Rigs can't handle the job so they call in the pros from up north....

  • why is this a big deal? he is simply doing his job - nothing more. I would think you would know how to back up a truck otherwise, you would not get hired.

  • Give this man a raise.

  • I have a place like this on the shops i deliver goods to. But thank god im just driving a 2-axled small delivery truck.

  • One hell of a driver!!! I would have told the warehouse supervisor they will have to unload in the alley via a forklift and a pallet jack. Would not have risked a chance of a preventable accident or damage to my rig on my record. He took a big risk, and he is very good at what he does!

  • These shippers/consignees sure know how to think ahead of time dont they? no common sense..

  • These shippers/consignees sure know how to think ahead of time dont they?

  • k chingon ese wey

  • watch the vid dumb ass its 53 ft trailer stupid.shows how much of a driver you think you are. its ppl like you that end up under a trailer.nolibab props buddy but your luck that you werent in a 379.

  • @YaUwAk247 Who are you replying to?

  • crazy and awesome

  • I'd rather do this, with the trailer on fire, than drive through New York city again.

  • @anzwertree man... i so agree with you. Brooklyn was a motherfucker.

  • Stupid place to have a loading dock.Hard to get into and trucks have to block the alley. Nice job backing into a tight place. Respect.

  • you are the fucking man,,,!!!!!

  • Good effort

  • I once had a similar situation in Chicago, only it was blindside and there was traffic on the street. I was lucky enough to have my trainer with me and spot me. Although honking horns and cars squeezing through where they can doesn't make it any less stressful.

  • Great.

  • Very good job

  • "It's amazing how some places will build their dock to accomodate only a 10-wheeler (day-cab single axle, 28-foot single-axle trailer) and not tell the shipper this" pretty sure Cinci, OH, and particularly that doc was built way before these trucks were dreamed of.

  • @jlspurrier09 or built since lol. playing cheap. this driver did pretty damned good imho. knew exactly where his or her truck was . knowing where they could and could NOT go

  • @jlspurrier09 - Very probably true. But the least they could do is give notice their dock is not designed for today's tractor-trailers... As a professional driver myself, (I transport passengers) I never cease to be amazed at the BS that we are expected to deal with. This delivery is equivalent to finding out my trip to DC has 5 ppl with 25 suitcases at 65 lbs +/- each, brought out in no particular order, requiring loading/unloading/reloading 3 times to make it all fit. Unskilled labor, my ASS!

  • skills..

  • Wow that's a terribad place they have set up for you to pull in. They should just send someone out and unload the truck in the street, haul the stuff in themselves... lol, seriously.

Also, sorry if this is a dumb question (never driven a truck), but why do the doors on your trailer need to be open backing up? I see a lot of contention over this in the comments.

  • @AnotherSchmoe

It's not required for backing but some docks don't give you the room to get close to the dock and still be able to open your doors, so, you open them before you start your backing.

  • @AnotherSchmoe well if its a rollup door they do not . they can be opened up by dockworkers if need be. but if these are swingout doors. then they do. because the door cannot be opeend at all once youre docked

  • @yamahonkawazuki

Ah I see what you're saying. Thanks for responding. :)

  • Damn u can drive..i would be nervous but im goin to try and get my CDLs soon

  • this guy as good driving skill, even if he did not open the back doors, kudos to you man

  • Yeah who the hell says to open the doors..I can clearly see myself the doors were already open during the backing up manuver..I can see it practically right from the beginning.

  • just think... in the "old days" we did that without power stearing

  • And thats why we love our European trucks :D xD

  • yeah the doors are open. look at 1:11

  • yeah the doors are open. look at 1:11

  • still a tight spot...good video!!

  • and this is why i plan to just work on big rigs

  • stops like this blow... nice job though...

  • I would like to see a peterbilt or kenworth backing in to that hole. LOL

That's one of the reasons Polish guys drives a volvo trucks.

    Makes job more easy.

  • that bloke is a god.

  • vegans make the best drivers because they care about life.

  • how many times you deliver there holy hell dude. Nice job.

  • That was an excellent backing job man; two thumbs up; that's what it's all about; good safe driving.

  • Cincinnati or baghdad they both look the same.

  • Damn that's some talented driving!

  • pro

  • It was nice to see that you got out of the truck to see where you were at. People say that it makes you look like a rookie when you get out of your truck to take a look around when backing. I say No, you look like a rookie when you back into another truck/ or take out one of your mirrors or side swipe a wall or another truck. Keep rollin driver

  • @WaWagasman Damn right. I've never seen anyone get into trouble backing that couldn't have been avoided by getting their asses out of the truck and looking.
