  • I got my blue belt from Renzo Gracies in NYC, but left due to the overcrowded classes and lack of care from the instructors.

    We learned a choke similar to the one your showing, but instead of my elbow going to the opponents ear or floor, my left arm would wrap around his back and grab his lower lapel (right side). From there, I'd proceed in counter clockwise direction and cause the person to choke.

    Your choke is simple and quicker to execute. Thanks for the post.

  • @Lossforwords78 Thank you for the compliment. There are indeed a lot of variations. That;s too bad about the school. If you ever find yourself in the Midwest, our classes are just the right size and everyone helps everyone.

  • im a white belt used this choke on a blue belt we luse this choke when i used to train in judo with gokor and gene le bell
