  • $5,500

  • @sebastain33 allready sold! building a crew cab right now.

  • looks about right chevy pulling out a ford.

  • Nice truck, hope to see it out at the buttes sometime!

  • has that truck ever been stuck before? nice rig !!!.

  • no not yet but i haven't really tried. Nobody else has anything big enough to pull it out if i do get it stuck.

  • hey i think i hear my voice in that vid....

  • what make and model engine you running and tranny

  • The engine is a Cummins 12 valve 6bt out of a 94 or 95 Dodge 1 ton. and the transmission and transfer case are out of a 04 dodge 1 ton. the tranny is a NVG 5600 6 speed and the transfer case is a NVG 272

  • holy crap that is a lot of power 6 speed tranny is it a manual

  • yeah it's a manual 6 speed

  • i want your truck

  • hell man everything is for sale. make me an offer

  • well first were do you live

  • 1500 cash

  • The owner of that super duty might take that... get real dude

  • Just a joke dude.

  • REV THAT DODGE

  • BTW the other truck aint a superduty, thats an obs, so its just an F series

  • My mistake, it is an old body style diesel. It was still alot of fun! ;p

  • Most likely, this K packs twin Rockwell FC-240 axles (HX1 front/HX3 rear), characterized by a 6.72:1 "skew-drive" double reduction setup. What wheels and tires, and what propshaft RPMs at typical highway speeds, for Big Black? I could use the data to plan a new transmission for a currently down Dodge BE2500.

  • Yes you are correct on the axles.

The wheels are the stock split ring wheels that came on a 74 military 2.5 ton that used those axles. Yes i know the wheels are dangerous if not seated correctly.

The tires are 14.00r-20 Michelin XML's

As for RPM's i am not sure because i don't have a tach in this truck, but for a rough guess, I would say around 3000 at 65. It will run 70 but it's really pushing the rpm's on that old cummins engine

  • Thanks for the confirm. Looks as though I'd better BUILD a new tranny, with 40% primary and 15% secondary, to keep the revs survivable for the Dodge's Cummins 6BTA5.9-180 (peak HP @ 2500 RPM); Mack might have so spec'd a TRQF-7740, were they allowed to offer one.

  • Rockwell 2.5 ton Axles have the pinion on top. It's called a double reduction axle as it has 2 sets of gears instead of the 1 set like a regular axle. Or you can call Jesse at High angle driveline

  • how do you get away with driveshaft angles? i keep having a problem : (
