i feel like the new macbook pros are a little bit slower on the bootups, but on everything else, faster. My late 2008 model 13.3" model boots up in about 8.7seconds, to the login screen. Although, i do have a 128 GB solid state drive, I don't think it should affect it too much, but it might. Please respond if i'm wrong.

@TheMichael1342 The same as you, with 1680x1050, 2.2GHz. BTW, you may think the 2.3 GHz is not worth the upgrade, but instead of 6 MB L3, you get 8 MB L3. Some difference here in speed.

Now, the problem: should I buy a 13-inch MacBook Pro 2.7 Ghz i7 Dual-core processor or the the higher-end 15-inch model? Obviously I should wait with the last one, as I only have 1600 euros. Great vids! I'm having a ton of fun watching unboxing after unboxing. Anybody know when the thunderbolt compatible external hard drives are coming out? Also, is it worth getting a base 15" over a top of the line 13"? The 15" gives you quad core, AMD Radeon graphics, which is what I'm interested in. But, is it worth the extra $300 price tag over the $1499 13"? Regardless, I hope this generation of MBPs will be future proof for at least a couple of years.
