whether they take drugs or not is completely irrelavent. Yes, often times drugs can serve as a type of muse for many people, but it's not the main source of inspiration. This kind of talent is something you are born with.

That being said I'm would suspect that they (like most people) have at least tried a few drugs which wouldn't effect their amazing musical abilties.

Olof is working as a DJ in Berlin I think, at the moment.

Karin did her Fever Ray project and they are gonna collaborate soon on the writing of music for an opera about Charles Darwin.

Opera is done, and playing live. Tickets out now. I believe the soundtrack to the opera (all lyrics and music done by The Knife) will be another album released by The Knife, but Karin did announce that The Knife will begin working on a new official album by December once shes done touring for Fever Ray.

Olof certainly does sing! You can see his lips move. Why would he be standing in front of a mircophone if he wasn't? You can clearly hear his voice on many tracks. Especially Hangin' Out on Deep Cuts. Why would Karin sing about herself having a dick. Common sense folks.

It looks like Olof's singing too, I remember seeing lyrics by 'the Knife' instead of just 'Karin' in the credits in Silent Shout, so I'm assuming Olof is singing too. You can see him singng around 2:56 or a little bit after too.

Something interesting is that many people say they "love the knife and their live show". Something they don't think of is that neither Karin or Olof created the visuals. Someone else did.

But, personally I can't say more than this beats everything.

the way that karin does her double accents on the recordings is through a Boss VT-1 unit, an integral part of the knife studio.

she also uses this live to get the two vocal lines singing at different pitches.

olof does not sing.
