God has power to give souls peace while their body is suffering between life & death before they awake again. My sister went through the cancer treatment process. She ulitimately died at age 52. She was a devout Christian as she had been all of her life. A true believer. So what I am hearing from such stories is that god is selective in his dealings with humans. He chooses this one over that one.... For not apparent reasons. I would think not. We suffer, some survive, and some choose to write a book and profit from their experience.

Revelation from chapter 19 on wards, gives a very detailed description of the New Jerusalem, a city whose streets are made of pure gold, transparent as glass ie not like any gold on earth. you may find it a good read. it is possible for people to make up some things from this account which does make me a little more cautious.

Wow. Now I am really confused. All these NDE's are making me have questions and concerns.. So there is no Judgement ? Will the likes of Hitler be in "Heaven"? Can one look down and see their hands or feet ? Is time the same in the in the next life (24hr day) ? What happens when we see our loved ones and we suddenly return to our earthly body.? Will my Grandmother think to herself "Well..that sucks.. guess I'll have to wait 30 more years or so before I can see him again". Something seems fishy.
@lennomenno - I don't see what's wrong with this testimony. I only listened to it once so maybe I should listen to it again but I don't recall her saying there is no judgment. She was/is a believer so of course she would have this kind of experience. There are some other NDE's out there from folks who were not believers that saw hell. All of the ones I've read or heard will raise the hair on the back of your neck.

@lennomenno - Oh yes, I see what you're saying now. You're talking about NDE's where Jesus is never mentioned once and it's fairly evident the person is not a believer. It deeply grieves my spirit whenever I hear NDE's from non-believers. Some of these accounts are most definately demonic spirits lying to them telling them everything is fine etc. Then there are some unbelievers who misinterpret God's goodness in sparing their physical life as His approval of their sinfulness.

While I personally have a hard time accepting religious NDE's as validation for one religion or another, it seems they are real experiences. Whether God acts through our belief systems to bring about NDE's we can individually accept, or whether there are regions of heaven for everyone, every belief system, where each of us can go after life on earth, I don't know.... but I tend to believe this is the reality, that there are a thousand+ spiritual summer-lands we can go to, in accord to each.

The young woman had said something like, "My mom had a near-death experience...She met Jesus." The first lady's reaction was like, "Well, that's great. What's wrong with that?" It sounds nice though. All in all NDEs, if they are true, sort of debunk traditional fundamental christianity. @DeDona1 Yes. I see people of all sorts of religions have NDE experiences that are happy. I feel that dogmatic beliefs are just to keep society in line... without them, most people would act insane.
@cococrispys I'm not so sure. People do not need to belong to a church to follow what Jesus taught on the sermon on the mount. I think dogmatic beliefs are born out of fear of losing control. I saw that video on Ben Breedlove, it was very sad. The light is a common experience in NDEs. I saw one NDE video that said the light is what happens when God breathes.
@DeDona1 I was researching this, & seems like in general, people see a white light and reach the happiest state they've ever been in. At school today, my class was shown a Ben Breedlove video, who died on Christmas. He was talking about how he had a near death experience, and in the back of my mind (I bet he had a white light), and the next flashcard said that he had a white light. @spiritguides1969 Where did she say something about talents? I don't think she was in Heaven because you have to be judged by Jesus in the final judgment to officially go to Heaven. I believe she was in the Spirit world and in that realm there is Paradise or Spirit Prison. In that realm it's a temporary place for spirits to wait until the final judgment of Jesus Christ.

At first, I was a little concern with Jesus' blue eyes statement but then I had a second thought, I think Jesus appears to you with the same race as you. Genesis tells us that God created man in His own image. If a black man have NDE he'd see Jesus like Nelson Mandela or Martin L. King. know Jesus was a jew/middle eastern and he may be double checked today if He were to boad the flight cause He may appear like Osama. Wow. Now I am really confused. All these NDE's are making me have questions and concerns.. So there is no Judgement ? Will the likes of Hitler be in "Heaven"? Can one look down and see their hands or feet ? Is time the same in the in the next life (24hr day) ? What happens when we see our loved ones and we suddenly return to our earthly body.? Will my Grandmother think to herself "Well..that sucks.. guess I'll have to wait 30 more years or so before I can see him again". Something seems fishy.

@lennomenno - I don't see what's wrong with this testimony. I only listened to it once so maybe I should listen to it again but I don't recall her saying there is no judgment. She was/is a believer so of course she would have this kind of experience. There are some other NDE's out there from folks who were not believers that saw hell. All of the ones I've read or heard will raise the hair on the back of your neck.

@lennomenno - Oh yes, I see what you're saying now. You're talking about NDE's where Jesus is never mentioned once and it's fairly evident the person is not a believer. It deeply grieves my spirit whenever I hear NDE's from non-believers. Some of these accounts are most definately demonic spirits lying to them telling them everything is fine etc. Then there are some unbelievers who misinterpret God's goodness in sparing their physical life as His approval of their sinfulness.

While I personally have a hard time accepting religious NDE's as validation for one religion or another, it seems they are real experiences. Whether God acts through our belief systems to bring about NDE's we can individually accept, or whether there are regions of heaven for everyone, every belief system, where each of us can go after life on earth, I don't know.... but I tend to believe this is the reality, that there are a thousand+ spiritual summer-lands we can go to, in accord to each.

There is one thing that i cant understand.
In the judism and islam too, this phenomenan is known. all the process is similar in all religions. How can you explain it? you can see Jesus/muhamad/moses so i think that the best explain is not spirtual but physical.

Jesus wanted to protect those witnesses: He knew that if they talked about Him, they would be risking their lives, which is why He avoided telling them who He really was, and they consequently mistook Him for Allah
But to most of the Jews and Muslims living in the U.S., He tells the truth

@DeDona1 Yes, I do have proof of that. A lady in her 50's once related a story that'd been told to her by a yougn woman. The young woman had said something like, "My mom had a near-death experience...She met Jesus." The first lady's reaction was like, "Well, that's great. What's wrong with that?" The young woman's reaction was: "Uh...no, you don't get it: my mom's Jewish!"
Turns out, the Jewish lady that was spoken of was someone living in the U.S.: an American Jew

It sounds nice though. All in all NDEs, if they are true, sort of debunk traditional fundamental christianity. This is why most christian leaders will say that NDEs are either from satan or are tricks that the mind plays.

@cococrispys I'm not so sure. People do not need to belong to a church to follow what Jesus taught on the sermon on the mount. I think dogmatic beliefs are born out of fear of losing control. I saw that video on Ben Breedlove, it was very sad. The light is a common experience in NDEs. I saw one NDE video that said the light is what happens when God breathes.

@DeDona1 I was researching this, & seems like in general, people see a white light and reach the happiest state they've ever been in. At school today, my class was shown a Ben Breedlove video, who died on Christmas. He was talking about how he had a near death experience, and in the back of my mind (I bet he had a white light), and the next flashcard said that he had a white light. As a matter of fact, it was twice. And not only that, but he was in extreme happiness (like other people say).

When the body undergoes severe stress (ya know like dying) the brain releases Dimethyltryptamine (DMT). Apparently this experience gave this dear woman's body a new kind of willpower or changed something in her body so that she was able to recover instead of quit with all the pain. The myth of the anointed savior who comes to earth and dies in order to redeem his fellow men is a fabrication of the mind of man and is found in many ancient myths. So how is it that when she dies and ascends to the realm of all knowledge and all truth, she meets a man who reaffirms this myth? I am into NDE's but stories like these sow seeds of serious doubt all over again. I believe she was in the Spirit world and in that realm there is Paradise or Spirit Prison. In that realm it's a temporary place for spirits to wait until the final judgment of Jesus Christ.

@bbrain2 Both DO exist. I have had a couple of experiences to help me know. All I can say is God's love is GREAT & POWERFUL. I've felt of Jesus' divinity & Atonement.
The adversary has power too, but only if we allow him to have it. I was at a mall in Vegas & saw a group dressed in black. In my mind I thought to myself, "Those people are bad, but I'm not afraid of them." As I walked past them I felt an evil spirit with great power try to grab me & it freaked me out! I looked, the ppl were BAD.

@goideacarmen Actually here experience covers a lot of the 9 lines of evidence outlined by Dr. Long in his book. I always thought I would be able to continue piano play in heaven.
